Very good place hard to find these days, BLT are my favorite the staff is always busy on serving customers hot dogs are also good very comfortable eat in too keep it up ..
The food is amazing !!! This spot is a hidden gem for sure. Very warm welcoming crew that make the experience even better. You feel like you’re over at your favorite aunt & uncles house. Love it and highly recommend it. I got the beef dogs with chili and slaw and they were so good! And the she crab soup is SENSATIONAL ❤️🔥
I don't live in Portsmouth anymore, moved north some time ago. But my childhood home was right down the street on Hodges Ferry. I still have the vivid memory of being a thirsty kid over 20 years ago with only a dollar and deciding to go into Ray's to see if I could get some water. They let me leave with a huge fountain drink full of soda, free! Thank you.

The Dog House is a great place in Portsmouth for a good hot dog. The food is amazing, and this spot is a hidden gem. The very warm welcoming crew makes the experience even better, making customers feel like they are at a favorite aunt and uncle's house. The menu includes a skinless dog, a Coney Dog that pops, beef dogs with chili and slaw, and the HOT SAUSAGE. The she crab soup is SENSATIONAL. The large fries is enough for two, very crispy fry done right. The restaurant is very clean with plenty of seating at the bar or tables. The staff is awesome, very friendly, and very quick. The prices are very good. Highly recommend.
