“We were first time visitors to Park Lane Tavern. Service was truly amazing as the waitress was very informative . I ordered the London Broil with bordlaise sauce. The food was phenomenal. The steak was very tender and juicy. Do not pass on the bread pudding.“

“Used to be our go to for breakfast even with the usual wait, but after being seated today our waitress took our order, a good 30 -40 minutes for our meal , after 30 minutes I asked our server will it be much longer and she said they were real busy and walked away, like I said Pocahontas was always a must due aleast 2 or 3 times during our week stay across the street at Oceanaire but save your self the hassle and grab the trolley to Sunnyside Restaurant at the south end of the beach, which we will do more often during our frequent times at VB during the year.“

“The food redeemed the initial impression of this place. Five 20-something females were gathered around the hostess stand chatting and finally acknowledged us, only to dismiss us with a proposed 15+minute wait because of "reservations." I defy anyone to find "reservations" on the website, FB, etc. for this restaurant on Pleasure House Road. The unfriendly attitude surprised me as VB is a tourist town and not just down on the strip. Because we had another engagement, we opted for dinner service at the bar; which is a bit too tall for comfort. The bartender was busy and we waited. We were finally able to order and had very good crab cakes and seafood Alfredo (a little watery). The surprise was the succotash ; which I would never ordinarily eat because lima beans are a hard NO. This succotash was made with edamame; very creative and tasty. Throughout the meal we watched several tables remain empty and the group of girls continue to cluster at the hostess stand. Management might want to eliminate some payroll overages. One last thing was a slovenly and surly looking young man with more hair hanging in his face than seemed hygienic; so glad he didn't serve us! As the start to our date night this was not a great success, but we had a good meal. This restaurant is recommended with "reservation".“

“If you are feeling adventurous, I encourage to take the drive to this restaurant especially if you love espresso martinis. Every time I go, everything is consistent. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the food is amazing as well. Menu has many options. The owner is also hands on and is welcoming to guests and appreciative of anyone who comes to this establishment and makes everyone feels valued. The smoky flavor of the fire grill enhanced the flavor of everything! Easily the best meal we’ve had in Virginia Beach, possibly on the east coast! The service was also great!“

“A nice place to have a drink specifically beer, and to relax. They have a spacious outdoor area in the back where you can sit in the sun or in the shade. The grass is Astroturf-ish. It appears to be pet-friendly as I saw dogs being brought in. There's even various yard games if you're into that as well. Inside the main building, you can relax in an air-conditioned setting, They have a kitchen to order food from and offer plenty of canned versions of their beer if you're simply looking to get beer to-go. They have merch as well. You could probably ask of holding a private event as it appears they can accommodate for that. Parking is extremely limited and you'll have to park slightly down the street if that's the case. The staff are polite and professional. They are following current respiratory hygiene guidelines. Recommended.“

“Monday to treat myself for a late Mother's Day because I had to work at my restaurant on Mother's Day after enjoying a great meal the only seafood restaurant I eat at is Dockside and I live an hour and a half away but after my meal realized I locked my keys in the car the manager Angie hope to me in every way possible for the 3-hour wait that I had to get into my car my phone died so she had to relay all the tow company messages to me she kept checking on me she went above and beyond and she doesn't even know me that's what was so amazing to me that if she could do all this for somebody she didn't know wow I can see why she is a manager to oversee that restaurant which is not a very easy job to do the cooks are exceptional every meal and every experience I have ever had there has been good and Monday they have no idea how they made my day a little kindness goes a long way thank you Dockside“

“I don’t normally write reviews for places unless they’re either really really good, or really really bad. This place was really really good. An unexpected gem after spending a little time at Chick‘s Beach with the family… Was not expecting the excellence we got from the moment we walked in. The staff was quick to greet, and very friendly. The atmosphere was really lovely, nice low, but perfectly sufficient lighting, a lovely patio with hanging lights and the back of the restaurant overlooks the water and a lovely little walking bridge, beautiful stonework bar, with a superb whiskey selection, though I was in the mood for beer last night… Our server, Natalie, was incredibly warm and helpful, offered to let me to taste some of the beer on tap, which led to me purchasing a pint of one of the most deliciously creamy raspberry wheat beers I’ve ever had. She recommended the pizza rustica, and I, as a chef of 13 years, was skeptical that it would be as good as it was, but yet again, perfection. There was literally nothing wrong, I tried a bite of each of my family members’ food as well because I do that... It was all excellent, the “avocado and IPA bacon grilled cheese” my daughter ordered was my second favorite after the pizza. Just a fantastic spot. Worth a trip out to Virginia Beach for dinner from anywhere else in Hampton Rose, even without a prerequisite beach trip.“
