“Crab egg rolls… listen here… I really don’t want to tell you how absolutely delicious these were ?2 for $12 special … worth every dollar!! Can’t wait to try the others.Customer service 10/10Quality/Freshness 10/10Wait time 7/10 - but I’ll wait every time haha!Environment 10/10“
“The food was outstanding. I've never had such a flavorful, well seasoned, perfectly cooked chicken breast. I tried my partner's snapper, and it was also scrumptious. Try the shishito peppers!! We were doted on by the staff (wait staff and manager) and it was greatly appreciated. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table which really isn't bad for a Friday night in a popular spot. Gluten free options too!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free“
“Came in last night for a 50th Birthday celebration & had an amazing experience. Adiel gave us exceptional service! Most of their menu is house made & AMAZING! The crab dip 10/10 The scallops, absolutely yes!! She was very knowledgeable on all things Waterman’s & we ordered all she suggested. We will definitely be returning.“
“Fantastic experience every time we go, but this recent visit was above and beyond. They made my guest feel exceptionally special as we celebrated her bachelorette with a toast of Prosecco. Throughout the evening, everyone from the hostess to the servers congratulated her and it brought tears to her eyes. Service is always phenomenal; everyone has a smile and seems genuinely proud to work there. Cannot say enough good things about this wonderful restaurant and it’s team.“
“We were visiting from PA and this spot came highly recommended for brunch, so we stopped in before heading home. Great restaurant in a very good location. We arrived 5 min before our reservation and we're able to be seated right away. We were greeted by our server rather quickly. The drink options were nice, I ordered the Mimosa Mango Sorbet (prosecco with a scoop of mango sorbet) but I was torn between that and trying the mimosa flight. There were so many great entree options but I went with Filet Mignon Benedict it was delicious, the sweet bacon with the fried green tomato along with the egg and sauce was perfect pairing with the filet. For our shareables we did biscuits and firecracker shrimp, both were yummy. Next time we are in town we will be eating here again.Wheelchair accessibility: While there is an upper level the bottom floor is wheelchair accessible.“
“Year 16 celebration dinner:Old Fashioned for Deb and Bee's Knees for Jim, Grilled Octopus Appetizer, Cabernet Wine and Surf and Turf for Deb and Scallops, Lobster and caviar Risotto for Jim, with Crème Brûlée and 10, 20, 30, 40 Flight of Tawny Port! Best rated restaurant, Zoes in town and great food and service provided by David was top notch!“
“If you are looking for a place to sit outside and enjoy the weather... New River Taphouse is a good bet. They do not have the overhead shades any longer. You can bring your dog, so they can enjoy the outing as well. Our server was nice... she was in training but she was helpful. The prices were acceptable. The deck was clean. There is a large selection of beer and wine. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.“
“Although my wife and I only got appetizers, they were delicious! Coconut Shrimp and Scallops over Street corn. The atmosphere was casual and most welcoming. There were many delicious looking entrees and we will be back. Oh and Manager Mollie was very friendly and made us feel right at home. Thank you.“
“Their Bread Pudding is AMAZING!! Every time I go, I try a different dish. Everything I have had so far has been AMAZING! Definitely would recommend this place to everyone. If you are looking for a place to bring someone to dinner who may be visiting, this is a definite must! Oh, and you have to get the bread pudding!“
“Wow the food was soo AMAZING!!!!! I was in town from Texas for my niece Cheer Competition and we visited Hot Tuna because they had great reviews and was open til 1:30am. This was on a Saturday evening after the Competition. We had the Shrimp Risotto, fresh spinach and my baby nieces had burger and fries and Mac n cheese. It was sooo good that we looked to see if they had any locations in Texas. Smiling!!!! This should definitely be your choice!!!“
“The food as always was great. We went on a Friday at 11, we were seated right away. But it took forever to have a waitress come over to take our order, and even longer to get the food. We were sitting by the back door/bathroom. We noticed LOTS of staff going out the back door. And females going into the bathroom in twos, multiple times.“
“First time eating here after having heard great things.. everyone was right. We sat at the bar and watched the bartender make all of the delicious coffee drinks while we chatted with the other bar top eaters. We watched as the meals came out of the kitchen for those that were seated at the tables and booths and were amazed at the size of the portions. We ordered shrimp and grits and also the he meat lovers omlet with the loaded tots. Too much to eat which was great because everything tasted wonderful so the leftovers will be devoured. Great little place that is very popular so be prepared to wait to eat but I promise you won’t be disappointed!!“
“Mermaids in Virginia Beach is a lot of fun!! Went in there the other night with some friends and the girls were so friendly, they made us feel right at home. They were amazing to watch! I was told they are getting ready for the Pole and Floor show competition on Saturday, May 18th. I think that's worth going to just from what I saw. The specials were fantastic and the menu was great for either a late night snack or a quick lunch. The music was good, kept everyone upbeat and the security was visible, but not over imposing, and that made everyone comfortable. Can't wait to go back and drag a few more friends out! Of course I would feel comfortable walking in there alone for a drink and a snack :)“
“I had the tuna and my son had the calamari. Both were phenomenal. The tuna was not like tuna bites you get at most restaurants. This was SUPER tender for real!! At first you think it won’t be enough but it really was. I have had calamari that was not fresh, and when it’s not fresh, it is like rubber I’m very hard to chew, but this calamari was very tender, and had an excellent sauce that accompanied it . We also ordered the Spiced Rum Cake that was delicious. We had two servers, first of female, and then a male and both of them were excellent, however, I do want to say the male was more attentive, but both were awesome. We went on a Saturday in the middle of the afternoon and it was not busy at all. Although it was raining a lot outside, so that might’ve had something to do with it. They do have outside seating, which I would imagine in the summertime would be great.“
“We are from the Pittsburgh area and come to Sandbridge annually. We decided to try Pungo Boys BBQ on a chance because face it, BBQ is a gamble. Well, we should have doubled down on this gamble because it was FANTASTIC! The brisket was so tender, the ribs delish!! The pulled chicken and pork both were so moist. Their sides were all very good as well! Though you really don't need their sauce offerings they were all good, but for me the Souse Sauce Piggy Perfume was the best...vinegar based bliss!! The folks working there were all very nice, chatted with us like we were neighbors. If you get the chance to go, do it. If we could justify the 7 1/2 hour drive every weekend, we would be there!“
“This place is great! We had some time to kill before checking into our hotel so we stopped in for lunch. The Sunday pizza special is great. Pizza was delicious and you would never guess it was less than $10! Though it was a bit of an afterthought when we ordered, the cheese curds were a highlight. In fact, they were the best I've ever had. Add in the good selection of local beers and the attentive service, it's hard to beat Shorebreak.“
“This was my first time back to this restaurant in a long time. The service was great, though the server didn't know the price of the specials when asked. My friend had the octopus and a goat cheese salad, which she enjoyed. I ordered the oysters and the short rib special. The oysters were good, and the taste of the short ribs were good, but the consistency was more like pot roast, which is not one of my favorite choices. I would definitely return to dine again.“
“We got food poisoning from the Virginia Beach restaurant! Terrible experience. Barbecue is one of those meats you have to watch the temperature very closely on otherwise bacteria can grow. Clearly someone wasn't watching the temperature as my family and I got food poisoning and that was the only place we ate. I am so disappointed. I will never eat there again!!“
“Came to the Lucky Oyster with family and it is our come to, when we visit! I had the Pungo Farms Chicken fried Chicken, garlic mashers, and green beans; it was the best I have ever had! Everything was homemade and tasted incredible! My wife had the nachos, they were the best also! And the service was fantastic!!!“
“We came in 1500 and it was Fabioulos we had gotten the dinner menu and beers. The Dood Was Off the Charts Delicious and so yummy and our Service was Outstanding and On Point. Tanya was our waitress and SHE was OUTSTANDING ??. This is Definitely a place to check out if you’ve never been here. After this experience we will Most Definitely be returning.“
“SO GOOD. Man, this is the place for brunch, hands down. The cocktails are incredible too- I could have got in BIG trouble with the spring margarita ?. We were there on a weekday and had no wait which was fantastic and our server was great. I can't wait to visit again next time I'm in the area!“
“My boyfriend and I visited for dinner last night and absolutely loved the surf & turf tacos! The service was excellent as well - the staff were friendly and the food was brought quickly. Portions were big, so we each brought a taco home. He also enjoyed his perfect patrone margarita - I got a different one I didn’t care for as much, but they had a generous amount of alcohol. Next time I’ll try a frozen beverage, as they looked delicious.“
“Quick service, amazing food. I got the Commune burger, because I am a harsh food critic and have been trying a lot of vegan food lately for my sister and daughter, who are vegans looking for good food when they visit. I’ll be honest, the patty is super crumbly, so there is some difficulty eating it. But the flavor is amazing. For people who want a vegan burger that tastes like beef, this is absolutely not it, but I promise you it’s delicious. I asked for ketchup, and all they had was beet ketchup. I didn’t even know this was a thing, but omg it was the best condiment I’ve ever tasted. It was the perfect compliment to the burger. 8/10, highly recommend. If they ever get that patty worked out to where it doesn’t crumble all over your plate every bite, it would be a 10.“
“Birthday dinner for close friends this past weekends the drinks and food are fantastic, highly recommend to dine in, great atmosphere and the appetizers are outstanding, all items made in house. The charcuterie board is my favorite with pickled figs, green beans and cauliflower served with local honey, chorizo pate and a variety of cheese. I would opt for the pimento cheese dip as well. Outstanding service. Very attentive.“
“Overall a very average experience (if you don't get the exotic meats) lol the burgers taste like normal burgers, there's nothing really special about them but they taste good. The price is average and the portions are average, to which there's nothing wrong with that(would highly not recommend the claw machines... they're one of those ones where it totally has no grip. The only one that works it's the rubber ducky one so if you like rubber duckies have a field day)“
“We dined at The Porch over the weekend. Truthfully I would only give 3.5 stars. Don’t get me wrong, the food was delicious and the service was very good. However, the restaurant was VERY warm and we did not like that we had to swat away flies the entire time we ate. Plus we were celebrating my sons birthday who is dairy free, and they didn’t have any dairy free desserts, so we couldn’t sing happy birthday to him.“
“Great place to bring friends from our of town. Great reviews from the guys in the steaks. Huge portions. Lots of fish choices, and the restaurant is very flexible. Service was amazing. They brought a glass of wine before the meal and the server remembered that we wanted it with the meal. It was wisked away and brought at the appropriate time. Higher prices that most of the VB seafood scene, but well worth it.“
“My brother and i came here for breakfast. I love diner/cafe type atmospheres in small towns. Rick's Cafe is just that. My 2 eggs, 2 links, toast w. applesauce and black tea was all cooked perfectly. Our waitress was attentive and lovely. The people who came in were definitely mostly locals or older seniors who usually frequent places such as these. Perfect in what it is. I highly recommend this place if this the vibe youre looking for.“
“Kevin's Dog house is easily the best place to get amazing hot dogs. Norfolk Dogs are super yummy with chili and cheese. I can't say enough about their chili. Best Chili I've ever had. been coming for the last few years and wouldn't go anywhere else. ❤️ Their new location is spacious and looks great! More seating than the old place too! staff are always super courteous and amazing!“
“Jeff, the cook, made the best burger I’ve ever eaten! After biking to the Oceanfront and walking back and forth from 10th to 31st, I really was craving something hearty and lots of protein. It’s my first time eating here and Sophie is so friendly. We ordered the classic burger, but I requested mushrooms in it. My expectations were blown away. The juice from the burger were dripping down my fingers but the lettuce was so crisp. The chicken wrap we also ordered was very tasty, like you can distinguish every ingredient. Definitely coming back here and bringing more friends! Please don’t remove these two items from the menu.“
“I ordered the sandbridge omelet, and it was one of the best I've had before. I didn't particularly like the setup for the dining room, but that's just me. Service was very good, (s/o to Dave!) everything came out correct and fast! I was also pleasantly surprised at the price for the quality and quantity of food we got. Swing by here for breakfast!“
“This was my first time trying out Zeros Subs. I went around 5pm today. The young man who took my order was very polite and made me feel welcome. The entire atmosphere was relaxed and all the employees were kind and very helpful. They also have nugget ice, so its a win right there within itself! Cheap, good food and wonderful service! Will be visiting again soon!!“
“Went to play pool today. It was my first time going. The atmosphere was good. Price to play pool was excellent. We played for about 3 hours. Food was really good. Our waitress was phenomenal. She waited to ask if we wanted anything after whomever was shooting and before the next player. She was attentive but not to the point of being "too much". I am looking forward to going back.“
“3/30/24 - Came by on a Saturday around 1:30pm. We were lucky and got seated right away with no wait! I love the decor and atmosphere here. Our server was great which I believe her name was Cam. She was helpful with the menu and the drinks. I got the lavender raspberry lemon fizz. She warned me about it being more on the floral side instead of the sweet/fruit to ensure I was aware and liked that kind of stuff. I loved it and could see what she meant with the floral taste. I also got the breakfast burrito and it was soo good. My husband got a burger and totes. The totes were cooked just right with good flavor.I would love to stop by again to try other items things.“
“First time and the absolute best TIME!!!! Foods AMAZINGLY GREAT staff is wonderful on serving, will definitely be back and highly recommend this place if you haven’t already been food portions are definitely worth it.thanks so much for the great experience“
“Bill Cutrell and I eat here often. I hesitate to write a review as it’s a secret spot lol. Small and delightful place. We LOVE it. The atmosphere, wait staff, chef (Angelo) are the best of the best. Angelo is a master chef. Jennifer is a fabulous server too!! At the end we tried Stephanie’s rainbow cookies which were to die for too. I don’t know why this place doesn’t have a 5.0 but deserves it. I had the rib-eye peperonata and Bill had the Grouper marinara. Both were to die for! ❤️❤️❤️“
“One of my favorite places in the entire area, ESPECIALLY when the chef is going off with his specials. He does things with flavors that blows my mind. I actually go though a mourning phase knowing I may never get to have them again.Luckily the standard menu is fantastic too. The ribeye with the marrow butter is hnnng.“
“I learned something new tonight! When ordering unusually food, a Pinot noir is a safe bet for wine. So what wine goes with hot honey jalapeño chiccarones and Brussels sprouts? Pinot noir! It was perfect. The Brussels were good, but the chiccarones…just get them! I don’t have the words to declare the deliciousness! I travel for work, so often eat at the bar. The bar seating was impeded by a post. Solution…Grab a high top instead of a bar seat.“
“We came in last minute for a birthday celebration and was immediately accommodated. The waitresd was nice and helpful. The tortellini was amazing. Overall a good experience. They also allowed us to substitute some meals because my son has a dairy allergy.“
“This place is amazing. My husband and I have been here twice. Every single thing we have had has been top notch!Crab cake is all crab, not a lot of filler ingredients like other crab cakes. The truffle risotto with short rib is absolutely AMAZING.The she crab soup…I inhaled it. It was DELICIOUS.“
“Hearth is a real winner. My fiancé and I had an awesome time and the food was very delicious. Hailey was such a great waitress and took care of us the entire night. We started off with fried deviled eggs and Brussels sprouts, both were insanely good. Then came the main course: the half chicken and pork schnitzel. Seriously, they were both out of this world. And those spicy margaritas? To die for. And dessert? Fruity pebble crème brûlée. It was like a childhood snack but elevated. Props to the kitchen staff for making everything so darn tasty. We will be back for sure!Parking: There is plenty of parking if you know where to look. If it’s busy, try parking on a side street in a designated parking area. Just make sure to park legally and don’t get towed!“
“Came for my 1st time today ! & wow ?? I had shrimp and grits and side of scrambled eggs with cheese. I did ask for NO BACON, however the waiter forgot, and also forgot my side of eggs. Lol so I did have to get the plate done over, and he sincerely apologized and made up for it the rest of the time. The lemon drop martinis were good and strong. I also had a mango mimosa that was decent. I'd come back again . Oh and parking was a whole mission. I waited 30 minutes to get a parking spot ?? the vibes were pretty good too. 10/10“
“Coopers Hawk is by far one of my favorite restaurants. I ate the food before I remembered to take pictures. Appetizers to try: tuna, brussel sprouts and flatbread are winners here!! Entrees: blackened tuna (hands down my favorite!!!). I've tried different items from the menu and most things have been great.“
“The food is absolutely delicious. There were choices for everyone in the family. The blackened tuna sandwich was fantastic, very fresh, and generous in its portion. Their fried okra is probably the best I've ever had. Even when there was a mistake in one of our orders, the staff solved the problem very quickly.“
“Went on a date, had a good time there’s a nice place to relax and enjoy some craft brew phone died so I didn’t get any pictures but that’s no big whoop everybody’s been to a restaurant before right this place got fresh fresh beer you can imagine when I go there food was excellentdate recommend it and I was thoroughly “
“I ordered the crab cakes and while they were not terrible, I was expecting something more from a restaurant located on the beach and serving other seafood such as muscles and oysters. They were good crab cakes for sure and would be one of the highlights if this restaurant were situated elsewhere. But I have had better crab cakes from local fisheries where I am from as well as for a cheaper price (2 patties cost $40).“
“This place is incredible! We went for brunch. Duck Hash and husband’s biscuits and gravy were both amazing. Home made pickles in the bloody mary were so good the waitress brought us a little plate of them! Everything was fresh made and delicious. Service was awesome and everyone was so friendly.“
“Beachy Beautiful inside. I absolutely love the colorful umbrellas over the tables. Makes it feel like summertime. Even during the winter it has that summer vibe. It's wonderful. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Easy to sign up and on a busy Saturday we only waited 10 minutes before getting a court for Shuffleboard. Then if you have never played (like us) they give you a nice lesson and tell you to make a few practice shots. Now lets get to the food. We got sliders, wings, waffle fries, and a hummus tray. All of it came out fast and wonderful. The sliders were perfect in every way and the perfect size. Wings had alot of flavor, they are finger licking good. Ok, you know I got a cocktail. Bahama Mama was excellent and a really good size, I highly recommend all the food and definitely order a drink. YUMMMM. Everything was wonderful. Happy staff, great location, tasty food and wonderful drinks. I can't wait to go back. I was the big winner By The Way. This is a must if your in the Virginia Beach area. Or make a special trip because it is worth it. It is such a GREAT time.“
“Came for drinks and a late night light bite. Pretty long drinks menu of cocktails, bourbon flights as well. The signature drinks on the first page were OK. Overall, no strong scents or flavors in these drinks though I was expecting something that'd land a punch. The "new era" drinks were more creative. Liked the "Fairly Odd Pairings" that had a lot going on and "Take Your Shoes Off" for its subtle green tea notes. "7 Mile Gimlet" was a bit watered down IMO, no peanut butter flavor. "Absinthe Lemonade" was meh. The truffle fries were good - fresh and crispy. Atmosphere was laidback with the week night working professionals crowd, cozy with a fireplace and a ton of taxidermy décor all around. Good for dates or a chill friends night out.Parking: hotel parking“
“Shorebreak is by far one of the BEST local spots in VA Beach! Food and service is always on point and management shows their support of the employees by getting in the trenches and working with them. Leaders by example for sure! Also a great place to watch games and enjoy family time. We’ve been regulars for years and will always stay loyal to this place!“
