“The food is very good!!!!!!!!“

“We frequent Embassy Suites in Virginia Beach often since they opened, and we always make several visits to Article’s Bar and Grill. The only reason this post isn’t a 1star review is because of Christian and Tripp both went above and beyond with their customer service. They were kind, attentive, and genuinely friendly. They are a true asset behind the bar and know how to make guests feel welcome. Unfortunately, we did have a very awkward and unpleasant encounter with another bartender (Lori) on two separate visits. We weren’t the only ones who noticed, her attitude came across as rude and unhappy to be there, which made customers uncomfortable. The first time, we let it go because everyone can have an off day. But the second time, her energy was even worse. I did bring it up to a manager on site, and I truly hope it gets addressed because that type of experience can easily drive customers away. Aside from that, the wings were delicious, and the drinks that Christian and Tripp prepared were great. Until next time—we’re hoping for a better experience overall.“

“The server may had been new but we had to ask for things that should have been given with a normal meal. We were unable to use the 15% coupon because when you sign up it doesn't tell you till afterwards that it is for online orders only. Our server offered us a 10% off coupon to make up for the misunderstanding. Only to be told by the manager he wouldn't allow her to apply it. That surprised me because I spoke to him about the horrible microwaved mashed potatoes which he lied and said they weren't microwaved. Won't be returning. You get one shot to earn someone's business and unfortunately they failed.“

The smoky flavor of the fire grill enhanced the flavor of everything! Easily the best meal we’ve had in Virginia Beach, possibly on the east coast! The service was also great!“

“Let me be “frank” ? The new location of Kevin’s Dog House is really great, and well worth a visit! The light filled space is clean, nicely laid-out and retains the casual Rock n Roll vibe of the previous place, but the main attraction are the delicious dogs! Kevin, Evie, and Matt run a smooth ship, and make you feel like family! ? Can’t wait to return!!“

“Just had a very delicious brunch after church at Driftwood Kitchen on Pacific Avenue! A convenient bonus is they have a parking lot available which we appreciate! Hubs had the salmon Benedict with hash which he thoroughly enjoyed along with a Spicy Margarita, yum! Today's special was red, white & blue pancakes with a side so l ordered that with homemade hash as my side, probably the best hash l've had! The pancakes were on point with the white chocolate chips & fresh blueberries inside and fresh strawberries on top! I would definitely order the same dish again, perfection! The bloody Mary's & mimosas were $5 & tasty! Our server & bar tender, Kat H. was very helpful & kind! We certainly want to go back! Happy Hour 3-6pm, closed Mondays,on Sundays they close at 3pm.“

“Down in Virginia Beach for a Dance Competition was looking for a breakfast spot after a late start to the day and found this place. The Big Grill is a small place with great food, great atmosphere, and greay waitstaff. We were able to walk in and sit right down. They wait staff was very attentive and gave us menus within a few minutes of sitting down. It is air conditioned which was definitely a plus with the heat outside.

I got a combination omelet which was delicious and big, my wife got a breakfast sandwhich that she loved, and my daughter got chocolate chip pancakes that she also loved.

We are here for a few more days and will definitely be going back!“

“The food redeemed the initial impression of this place. Five 20-something females were gathered around the hostess stand chatting and finally acknowledged us, only to dismiss us with a proposed 15+minute wait because of "reservations." I defy anyone to find "reservations" on the website, FB, etc. for this restaurant on Pleasure House Road. The unfriendly attitude surprised me as VB is a tourist town and not just down on the strip. Because we had another engagement, we opted for dinner service at the bar; which is a bit too tall for comfort. The bartender was busy and we waited. We were finally able to order and had very good crab cakes and seafood Alfredo (a little watery). The surprise was the succotash ; which I would never ordinarily eat because lima beans are a hard NO. This succotash was made with edamame; very creative and tasty. Throughout the meal we watched several tables remain empty and the group of girls continue to cluster at the hostess stand. Management might want to eliminate some payroll overages. One last thing was a slovenly and surly looking young man with more hair hanging in his face than seemed hygienic; so glad he didn't serve us! As the start to our date night this was not a great success, but we had a good meal. This restaurant is recommended with "reservation".“

“My girlfriend and I went out for some fine dining last night at Terrapin, and it did not disappoint!! Our server Allie was a consummate professional, and the GM/sommelier was very friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a well-known fact that fine dining is not cheap, but not only were the prices not all that bad here, but the food quality was exceptional. They also have a special on Tuesdays: 50% off for service industry workers. I found that awesome, remembering where they started from, and making it available to those individuals. We are planning on making this a monthly thing for us. Shrimp tagliatelle for me, black squid ink linguine for her. Our entrees were chicken piccata for me, and she indulged in the roasted duck. For dessert, she selected a seasonal dessert special called It’s The Great Pumpkin, whereas I kept it simple with an affogato w/ French vanilla bean ice cream. 10/10 - would definitely recommend!!“

“Mermaids in Virginia Beach is a lot of fun!! Went in there the other night with some friends and the girls were so friendly, they made us feel right at home. They were amazing to watch! I was told they are getting ready for the Pole and Floor show competition on Saturday, May 18th. I think that's worth going to just from what I saw. The specials were fantastic and the menu was great for either a late night snack or a quick lunch. The music was good, kept everyone upbeat and the security was visible, but not over imposing, and that made everyone comfortable. Can't wait to go back and drag a few more friends out! Of course I would feel comfortable walking in there alone for a drink and a snack :)“

“We really enjoyed our late breakfast at Another Broken Egg Cafe in Virginia Beach. Our server, Aston, actually seated us and was so friendly and professional. He was an outstanding server answering all of our questions and was very attentive. He suggested a couple of his favorite entrees and we were not disappointed. The Power Bowl was massive and my husband really enjoyed it. I had the veggie omelet topped with goat cheese. It was delicious! Excellent coffee,too!!! We will definitely be going back!“

“My wife and I come here often for special occasions! Last night, we celebrated my wife’s birthday. Casey was our server and she was so warm, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. She consistently checked up on us and made the experience amazing. Of course, a reason to come to the Hunt Room is the atmosphere. So romantic and cozy. Had live music which only added to the experience. Our food and drinks were perfect and my wife said it was the best birthday dinner ever.
