“So this was my second time coming here and just like the first time, the food was amazing!! This time I tried The Sampler and I feel like for what you pay it's a good deal. They also have a fresh fish market and the prices are very reasonable. I will be going back again and again lol.“
“I had to review this wonderful restaurant because it hit my soul. First time here and I can tell you it won’t be my last.Came for date night with my husband and walked in to the smell of heaven. The restaurant itself is very nicely set up. The staff is one of the most exceptional groups I have had the pleasure of being greeted by, served by, and fed by! We even met one of the owners as he casually walked by and asked how we were and thanked us for coming.Now to the food….I got the crab stuffed salmon and my husband got the prime rib, both were a special of the day.The salmon was absolutely PERFECTLY cooked and so so good! My husband said his prime rib was very tender and delicious! Their collard greens are fantastic and their cranberry coleslaw was wonderful! Not to mention a bowl of heaven with their banana pudding!!I was expecting a mediocre meal, only because there is so much of that here in EC…..BUT what I received was an amazing experience of fantastic food and a truly heartwarming atmosphere!If you have never tried Allecious, it’s an absolute MUST!!!“
“It was my family's first visit we had cheese curds that were fried just right! My husband and grandson had cheeseburgers and friesand I had a wedge salad that was exceptionally good! However my son had chicken fingers that were overcooked, I should have sent them back,but it took a while to get our food and it was getting close to closing time.I think the wattress we had made our experience a great one!This was St.Pattysday night.“
“I wanted to see the Museum of the Albemarle and I wasn't expecting any culinary majesty while visiting Elizabeth City. I WAS WRONG! The food at the Cypress Creek Grill is at least a six! There is a chef back there!Linda and I were late for lunch and early for dinner, so oft times one doesn't expect too much. Let me tell you, Linda's Sea Scallops were sensational, and my New Orleans Barbequed Shrimp was prime delish. The homemade yeast rolls were superb as dipsters in the tangy sauce for the shrimp.The salads were fresh and zesty, and the clam chowder, you must try! Our server Peyton was the very best, and everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, a reflection on the great GM, Chelsea.Not that familiar with Elizabeth City, we could see the water from this nice eatery, but the service and the food was exemplary.“
“An old school Cafe. A place that's been around maybe since Moses was a lad. It shows it's age a bit but so do I... It's not a fancy bistro, I don't think I saw a hipster anywhere but the coffee was fresh and hot and the breakfast menu was solid. Its my understanding it is breakfast only these daysI had the $8 breakfast. EGGS over medium cooked perfectly (not every place gets it right , sausage, toast and home fries. No frills bells or whistles just a solid breakfast with good service for a reasonable price. A reasonable price for the 2023/2024 economy. Happy New Years everybody.“
“First time I've been in years. The last time my wife and I were here it was still smoking inside and we never went back. I came for breakfast and everything was great! I'll be back soon for dinner if I can get past the breakfast goodness! My wife of almost 40 years passed away a few weeks ago so I was looking for a place to be a regular. Thanks for being here!“
“There are many new restaurants in town but The Sandwich Market is an institution for Elizabeth City and a must Go when you are in the area. They may look simple but they are definitely made with love and you can taste it!!! A normal place for locals and a great stop destination for travelers!!! The decoration of the restaurant is something different but amazing! I go to EC at least three times per year to visit and each time this must go place for me. The staff is super friendly, they bring up the food to your table and they are just the best people to get food from. I have tried several of their sandwiches and none of them have disappointed me. I have gone with at least 4 other people and all of them loved their sandwiches!!! I highly recommend it ???“
“Stopped in for lunch and had a catfish sandwich and sweet tea. The sandwich ? was huge. Tea? was good and refreshing. The husband wanted fish ? for dinner. We both got the spicy ? 3 piece white fish. It was ? I had 2 pieces left over and had fish tacos ? with it for lunch the next day. For both of us! I hadn't been there in a VERY long while. “I love the food here! They're going to always get your order wrong, but the food is spectacular! Also, the people that cook in the back don't cover their hair. I feel that cooks should always cover their hair. I mean their hair was hanging down on their shoulders and everything. As if hair doesn't float in the air and travel. smh“
“Diner style, with a wide ranging menu. We had a larger party and called on a whim. They accommodated us very quickly. Our servers were great.The food was delicious, not a disappointed eater in the group. The food we had:Chicken and Beef Gyros (excellent), Fried catfish (wonderful), Bacon burger, Fried chicken meal. Sides: fries and sweet potato fries were great, Mac n cheese and collard greens were out of this world.Great find. Thank you.“

“Not even going to lie, was the best we have had in awhile. All 8 of us got something different and everyone loved everything, they got. Was the first time for all of us (other than parties) and we all said we couldn't wait to go back and try more. Hands up the best in Ecity..... A+ on everything!!!“
