I wait for the flavor or the week announcement and immediately send it to my other half as he works only a few blocks away in hopes of him bring me one home. “Very surprised by this find! I was confused when I approached the building. I've seen this building (Dominion Tower) many years, growing up in the area... never knowing that there is this gem inside of it. It's a very quaint spot. I went during a down time but I can see this place getting a little packed during busy work hours. It's a huge place with lots of seating. AND a killer view of the water. It's so peaceful!!! The person working there on the day I went was very welcoming. He fit the calm vibes of the shop. I truly felt at peace with even ordering. You know how sometimes it feels stressful because you aren't sure of what to order? I didn't feel that at all. lol. I ordered their Shipwreck and Seafoam lattes. The shipwreck was an iced brown sugar latte and so was the seafoam with an addition of matcha. Both were absolutely delicious. They weren't packed with sugar like a regular Starbucks drink would be. I could actually taste the coffee and it was top notch. So this is definitely a place for true coffee lovers that hate their coffee being overpowered by crazy sugary flavors. 10/10 would come back again!!!“

“We stumbled across this place after picking up an item from marketplace and WOW. The coffee was hands down the best I've had in Virginia. The salmon bagel, breakfast sandwich with crispy kale & sweet potatoes and avocado toast with a fried egg (that our three year old completely destroyed- which says a lot ) Was perfection. The staff was very friendly, had great energy, and the restaurant itself was open and airy. There were board games and books for both adults as well as children. Highly recommend. We Will definitely come back when we are in the area.“

“I love fair grounds! I like most of the people who work there! Today the person who made my smoothie was really weird about it though, I hadn’t seen her before, short purple hair, spikey eyeliner. She just kept yelling about it being a flesh smoothie, “it looks like human flesh”, and literally describing it like it was a horror movie. This was the whole time she was making it, and even after she gave it to me. You know people can hear you, right? Maybe it was because I asked for cream in it, she responded negatively to that in the first place, gaped at her coworker like I’d asked for shrimp eggs. “This Starbucks has been here for a few years, but it was my first visit. It won't be my last. First off, it's a pretty large location to be situated downtown Norfolk. They have lots of seating and a good amount of space to wait on your food and/or beverage. The staff is super nice. I got my new fave - Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai...check it out. It's perfect for those who don't really care for the dairy (or dairy is not your friend if you catch what I'm saying). And I just learned you can get it hot! I'll have to try that out at another store!! The drink is sooo good, the customer in front of me ordered one and I got stopped on my way out to inquire what foaming goodness I had in my hand. “Hubby and I needed a quick bite to eat. The lady at the register was just filling in for her daughter. Olive was the nicest lady to talk to. We both ordered the same exact thing. We ordered a salmon lox bagel sandwich and a bohemian colada. Both of them were delicious!! Our sandwich had salmon lox, dill cream cheese, pickled onions, egg, tomato and greens. Our smoothie had pineapple juice, almond milk, mango, coconut, and agave. We sat next to the window overlooking downtown Norfolk with the warm sun shining on us. It was a great.“
“Zinnia is a fresh clean cafe space inside the Chrysler Museum (which is a free amazing museum btw). The menu here is not extensive, but solid consistent options for lunch or grab and go when at the museum or in the area. Here is what I personally like: there are gluten free options, a kids menu, it's very clean and the staff is attentive and kind. The soup rotates and you can get something from their grab n go, order take out or sit inside/outside. It can get super busy when there is an event or lecture so be mindful of that. There are dedicated bathrooms so you don't need to wander in the museum. My favorite is the chicken salad, my friend loves the duck grilled cheese and pickles!“
“We got there later than planned so we missed the comedy show but the owner, Victory, was completely welcoming. He even turned the music back on for us, even though it was 30 minutes before closing. I was initially disappointed because the tea and waffles weren't on the kiosk menu. But as soon as I mentioned it, he went to get the menus for both.We ordered strawberry kiwi tea, hibiscus tea, and a blueberry drip vegan waffle. I meant for it to be one waffle but he brought us two. It was probably better that way because BA-BEE! That waffle was perfectly crisp and soft at the same time. I made the mistake of leaving the orange slice on mine so a couple of bites were orange infused which I didn't like but the waffle itself made up for it. The tea was served in actual porcelain tea cups but wider than standard and were both cute and perfect. I wish I'd gotten pictures.So we sat on the couch, vibed to the Caribbean music, and ate our tea-brunch and it was lovely. There's art everywhere from local artists and it's just a whole entire vibe. I ordered the K BBQ grilled cheese and the char was just a hair more than I’d traditionally prefer but that didn’t affect the flavor in the least bit. Despite the flaw, the sandwich was a 10! Don’t get me started on this amazing atmosphere. In an environment as rich in local coffee shops and K BBQ I’ll absolutely be coming back here. They’ve managed to make a returning customer effortlessly! 10/10 recommend!“
