“During COVID, this place remained open so I could grab a bite to eat while handing academic business. The food was fresh, and the set-up was appealing to the eye. The fountain machine was off for flavoring, but overall a good experience. I'd like the staff to be more engaged with the customer. They seemed rushed, but were probably working with a skeleton crew.“

“Came 4/13/23 around 9pm.Had a 50% coupon but app was glitching the owner still applied the coupon.They were quick & attentive.Sparse on giving the salad tho by the other staff. It was clean and we were greeted and helped as soon as we entered. Will def recommend and come back here ♡☆ Owner was nice enough to give my kid a free cookie. lol he probably saw my kid begging me for one and i said no.“

“It’s been quite a while since I’ve been to a Subway, I (and many others) felt they had gone downhill over the years. I decided to try them again and I’m glad I did. (At least) this store in Glenwood Shoppes has vastly improved. The staff was friendly and greeted me upon my arrival, and the other customers came in after me. Granted, I’d arrived before the lunch rush, so they were not yet very busy. I was offered an opportunity to try there ‘new’ Cheesy Garlic Bread, so being a fan of cheese and garlic, I was easily sold on it. I knew what I wanted before arriving; their BMT – toasted. It was 29 degrees outside. I was pleasantly surprised to have the sandwich built with individual ingredients, as is prepared by Jersey Mike’s and the Blimpies of old, rather than a pre-made slab of item shoved into a bun. The staff tag-teamed as the sandwich came out of the oven and sent to the accessories line for the items of my choice. I gotten a large, so no chips this time. I rarely ever drink the numerous sweet fizzy soft drinks that flood our markets and will almost always opt for unsweetened iced tea, generally with little or no ice. Being early, there was plenty of seating available even for the small strip mall location. It was filling up quickly, as I was finishing a pretty fine lunch and several workers from the nearby shipping terminal came in in groups. (This) Subway was really improved since my last visit. I hope the other in the vast chain have as well.“
“A standard Subway at first glance, but it’s a madhouse in there. I went at 2 different times, in the afternoon and around 6PM. It’s nice and relaxed around 6PM, but the lunch rush is controlled chaos. Line was out the door, but the staff was able to serve at least 5 customers a minute. It was almost like watching a performance.“

“This subway was so clean, everything was fresh and it seriously made me re think my thoughts on subway it was very good and I will be back to this location. Some of the other reviews make me sad because there is a language barrier with some of the employees and they are so kind and offered great customer service. Mohammed made me the best sandwich. Then who seemed to be the owner came in and he was so kind, he gave me an extra cookie I thought that was very very above and beyond! I will ALWAYS give people like this my business“
“Came in at lunch it was busy girl taking orders was super helpful the older lady with red hair was running around and so backed up she walked off the line with 6 subs waiting for her she left with the other old lady on the register the poor girl stopped taking customers just to finish their sandwiches but she was still pleasant quick and nice“

“The owners are very nice considering their store is in downtown Norfolk and having to deal with the homeless, cheap no tipping blk ppl, and the entitled who have moved into the condos that have now blocked the view of Waterside. The wife is very cultured and personable. Won't accept my tips but she says she's been franchising Subway for 35 years and is happy with her life.( in other words she's saying she manages and is well off financially)“
