“My husband and I, along with my son and his wife, visited here on a Saturday afternoon. The food was excellent! We sampled crab cakes, chicken and rigatoni, steak and a cuban sandwich. Everything was wonderful. Service was great. Like many places in Virginia Beach, this place is noisy with both music and TV going.“
“This is a neighborhood little Pub I love the food the food is awesome everything about the food is great the bartenders have been there for years they know everyone and they're very nice and the drinks are really really good he's just a little hole in the wall but those who understand what I'm trying to say is fun I like the music“
“Although this is a burger & beer joint as advertised here on Google Maps, and that's what I had last night elsewhere, I came here. Had the pulled pork sandwich (phenomenal), and a side of fried pickles (also phenomenal) paired perfectly with beers from the assistance of the bartender. Great beer selection, had a few and never the same but always good. Will be back, and trust me, that means something.“
“The ideal local hangout with a cross collection of peoples. I love the cheery, friendly cozy environment; two pool tables, a dart board & fantastic service. The beef lumpia with the sweet chili sauce is to die for!! The cheese sticks are perfectly crispy on the outside & melty but not lava hot on the inside.“
“Be careful, this could become the place where everybody knows your name. I am an occasional visitor but have never felt like an outsider. The bartenders and patrons are very friendly and conversation comes natural. They have pool tables, TouchTunes music system, karaoke nights, separate smoking room, Queens game system and reasonable bar menu.“
“We were over on Portsmouth over the weekend and we decided to have lunch at Barton's Pub & Restaurant. They are conveniently located at 500 High Street in the heart of downtown Portsmouth. Barron's Pub has been around for many years, but this was my first visit. On select occasions they offer live music from some of the local talent in the area. When we arrived they were not busy and we were able to score 2 seats at the bar, our favorite perch. The bartender was handling the group seated at the bar efficiently. Our drink order came out quickly. My Wife really enjoyed her Old Fashioned. They have a decent menu with a good variety of options. My Wife had the French Dip Sandwich served with Hand Cut French Fries. She enjoyed it very much. The Roast Beef was tender and delicious. The Fries were crispy outside but meaty on the inside, a wonderful combination when you can find it. I had a Grilled Pastrami Reuben and I really enjoyed it. It was both hot and delicious. I was very surprised to find a bottle of 12 Year Old Pappy Van Winkle on the shelf. This is my Unicorn, even though I don't drink anymore. I asked how much for a pour and I was pleasantly surprised. My Wife wanted to try it so she asked for a pour. They were kind enough to let her take a picture with the bottle. I'm not sure what the rules are, so I will not reveal the price here. We really enjoyed our first visit to Barron's Pub and we are already looking forward to our next visit.“
“This place should be called "Cheers." I feel like everyone knows everyone; but I'm fairly new to VA. Although it has the vibe of the neighborhood bar: very laid back; you can wear tennis shoes, or Louis Vuitton- loafers, like one of the very eligible-Bachelor was sporting; I really enjoyed myself on the few occassions I visited. Must check-out the Karaoke-night on Tuesday and grab a hookah, they rent them! The key to a good time for me is SAFETY, while their parking lot could benefit from more lighting, there is security outside and in; checking your bags... There is no cover on most nights, thereby allowing you to put that money on your 1st drink! Great D-J.. spinning all the hits, OLD $ NEW and Great food..."Check hours of operation online, they may vary.“
“It's 7:15 on a Sat night. Flights have been delayed due to weather, and closing time is usually 7, but they stayed open to accommodate the waiting passengers. Justin, the bartender, was running the bar and the seating area, and he was killing it. He was hustling with a smile. Thanks for staying open for us! You rock!“
“Nice little restaurant in the central part of the Norfolk airport. When we arrived in the morning the waitress informed us they wouldn't be serving breakfast. She said their kitchen had some limitations. Nevertheless, the food was good & the service was good. We ordered the grilled chicken Caesar salad & the fish & chips.“
