“My daughters name is Willow B. and she was treated like a Queen; given a free T shirt, free pool, all the games and coloring books her heart desired. The food was spectacular and the hostess was 10/10“

“We came here as a group of 6 on a Tuesday evening, and we were seated at their smallest table. When we asked to be moved to a larger (there were 3 open larger tables) we were told that the "wait" was too long. All 3 tables sat empty the entire time we ate. 3 of the 6 people in our party ordered the blackened sword fish at $34/plate. The orders came as grilled and they were severely over cooked. When we mentioned that the orders were wrong, we were told that they could take that fish back add blackened seasoning and re cook the same (already overcooked) fish. We asked to speak to the manager, whose immediate solution was to take off the automatic gratuity and just not tip our server. We never got an apology for the food being wrong, and the manager was completely rude the entire time. The manager's final solution was to take $4 off of a $80 bill. We will not be back.“

“My wife, our grandson, and myself went to Saltines on Valentine’s Day which is also my wife’s birthday. Reservations at 7;45 and the seating arrangement was perfect. Kyle was our waiter. We could not have gotten a more perfect waiter. Kyle was extremely polite and was very attentive to our needs. The drinks he served were perfect. The food served was above par. He even wished my wife a happy birthday and made sure she had everything she wanted. Kyle is the sort of waiter that you look for and hope for. He was perfect for our little celebration. My thanks to Kyle and thanks to Saltines for employing someone such as Kyle. Kyle will be our waiter for future dining at Saltines.“

“Went with a friend for the first time Friday night. Service was great, the staff was friendly and the blueberry lime drop was delicious. We ordered appetizers and our meals. Appetizer came out hot, when our food arrived , I order the ribeye wasnt given a ribeye and it was warm not hot ended up taking most of our food to do. They might wanna change it to steak and not lie about it being a ribeye.“

“I just wanted to share and recommend Plate Me Please Seafood because it is “off the chain good”!!!! I really was headed to Shrimp Shack to get me a couple of plates of Fish and Shrimp, but I had to run to Wal-mart to get some stuff, and that is when I saw the long line of customers by this food truck. So, I decided to get out of my car and go check it out, when, I saw that it was selling seafood, I told myself “Mr. Joe” (that’s my name), you have to check this out. It’s smell really good and the prices looked reasonable. You have to use their QR code to get to their menu…So, I decided to get my seafood from this truck and I am SO GLAD THAT I DID!!! The cook (Ms. Margaret), cooked my whole meal from scratch in about 5 minutes…and her daughter Ms. Adrienne rung me up real quick while she was telling me about her Seafood Restaurant at 7105 Sewells Point Road, Norfolk, VA 23513-1813. I grabbed my two plates and when I got home, I had to fight off my daughter because she wanted more food!! I think that I might have to go back tomorrow and get me some more plates, because, I really don’t want to hear my Wife and daughter mouths!!!“

“I've been ordering for a few years now. I ordered my husband the vegetable pancit today and was not disappointed. I've ordered general tsoas chicken, sesame chicken, sweet & sour chicken, the fried Chinese chicken wings, egg/shrimp/spring rolls, crab rangoon, and all versions of rice. It is the BEST in Norfolk easy. There must be an actual chef back there the food is incomparable. They definitely should have 5 stars but... hey if you guys are reading... get rid of all that junk in the lobby, and work on better customer service! “The setting is gorgeous, but the interior could use a designer for a more coastal environment. The crab cakes are the best in the area, but they need better healthy sides. I also had the best soft shell crab in the area there a few months ago. Hire a chef versus a cook. More healthy versions of seafood are needed versus mostly fried and salted. As an excellent cook, I could turn this place into a hot neighborhood spot that people could walk to/from. Many times the price does not meet the quality of food unless I order the crab cakes. I have seen waiters bring out broccoli with worms moving around and florets that have overstayed their time in the kitchen.“

“This place takes me to my childhood back in the day when I lived in Lambert's Point and there was this place called the Rice Bowl on the corner of 39th and Boydens Ferry rd. accross the street from the corner market. This is where I fell in love with fried rice, small smoke, chop suey and of course yak, Norfolk style. So if you're feeling a little nostalgic for old style neighborhood Chinese takeout you should go there.“

“An errand brought me in the area at lunch time. I bought the Mushroom and cheesesteak sandwich. It was ready in about 10 minutes and I was out of there. They are very efficient and delicious food. Hard to beat. They also sell Herr's chips, but you will pay a premium. The half is sufficient for most for lunch.“
