“Can’t stress enough how amazing the view is at The Deadrise! I love coming here just to sip a Painkiller and watch the sunset; it’s easily my favorite view in the area. I recently tried the seafood boil and the calamari. The calamari was top-notch—definitely recommend that as an appetizer. The seafood boil was a huge portion, though it came with a lot of butter, so if you go, you might want to ask for that on the side! It’s a bit of an investment for dinner, but given the location and the quality, it’s a great spot for a nice evening out. Can't wait to return!“

“If I could fine a 6 Star review I would! What an awesome evening. Started off with drinks upstairs, and moved down when our table for 12 was ready. With a large group one would expect that service would be slow, but Leslie D was super! So great that I HAD to speak to the manager to tell him how awesome she was! Ask for her when you come, and you will not be disappointed! We were all very much satisfied! I enjoyed the roasted oysters (four orders for the table) and the Fish and Chips. The Old Fashioned(s) were awesome, as were the Key Lime Crushes and the Lemon Drop Martinis. We celebrated my wife's birthday with all the family. We even had a visit at the table from a young man we had not seen since we lived in Bena over 39 years ago! Great place. We have been here several times preciously and will return. “I love this place! What a Gem of a restaurant in Newport News! I went with my family. We had a time crunch to get to a play, and Katie our server was great! She was Professional, accommodating, and served us great food in a timely manner so that we could make it to the theater in time. The Food was excellent! The chefs did a great job! I had the seafood pasta. A dish that is creamy, fresh, and delicious. All the other food was also very good. We are definitely coming back to take it all in when my family and I are not rushing to another engagement. I definitely recommend going to this place.“

“In and out in no time but very tight entrance. I was trying to make a right but had to go down and do a U turn to come in from the left. Accident caused me to take a car route and streets were not meant for trucks ..use truck gps you will be good“

With that being said the flounder meals well seasoned big portions hushpuppies small but sweet and fluffy. Whiting meal did not come with hushpuppies but also well seasoned . The side of scallops were overcooked and on the rubbery side but also seasoned well . Overall pretty good fish spot just dont forget your cash 😉“

“My husband and daughter have always wanted to try a seafood boil. We discovered the Twisted Cab and it lives up to all of our expectations. The food was great, crab, shrimp, and sausage boil, one with mild cajun and the other with medium cajun. I had old bay wings and cajun fries. One of my children had fried shrimp basket and the other boneless wings. Needless to say we all left full and the next time we are in town, we will be back“

“My wife and love going here. The food was really good. The service was great. Our server was J. Trammic and he was excellent. The only issue we had was with fries on my plate. I had the lobster, shrimp, and Salmon. The salmon and lobster were covered in butter. The bad part was that the fries were on the plate when the butter was applied which soaked the fries in butter. This made the fries very soft and mushy.“

“For a tavern/dive bar, the wrap I got was really good! The sauce on it made the flavor really come out. I was surprised as I had lower expectations going in. The staff was also super friendly and stopped by a few times to check on me. It was slow, so that probably helped. Got a mixed drink with it as well.“
