“Service was excellent and they offered to change out an item even though I incorrectly ordered the spiciness level even after eating the entire meal. My husband as a non-vegetarian didn't enjoy the Chicken Manchurian. I thought the Chicken Manchurian would be better with more green onions and other garnishes.“
“This restaurant is a flavor haven! ?️ The kebabs are a burst of spices, perfectly grilled to perfection. ? The butter chicken is a creamy delight, a dance of richness and spices on the palate. ? And the tandoori wings? Smoky perfection with each bite! ? An absolute treat for the taste buds. ??“
“My favorite lunch spot! With fast and friendly service, plus the ability to order online, I've been trying something different on the menu each time I go, and everything has been delicious so far. Lots of variety, even in the vegan options!“
“Ikea convert right here! After having a few well-used Ikea furniture pieces in our home for 4+ years now, I can testify that they deserve 5 stars across the board!Norfolk's Ikea is conveniently located near the airport, one turn off I-64. They have plentiful covered and flat-lot parking, specialty trailer parking, online order pickup spaces and spots to charge an electric vehicle. The entire store is clean, well-lit and organized. I will say with the amount of stuff they fit into their space, it is very easy to get lost inside. However, they have ample hanging signage and there seemed to be plenty of staff milling around that will point you in the right direction. The staff that we chatted with during our visit were friendly and helpful. We have been several times, but this was the first time going with our little one. Ikea is AWESOME for kids! At the entrance, there is a play space where you can check children in to get some wiggles out for an hour while you shop. Now, an hour is not nearly long enough for a trip to Ikea unless you know exactly what you're looking for and are not prone to getting off track. They even have a cool scavenger hunt for kids to shop alongside you while engaging in their own activity. On this trip, we were looking for storage ideas and inspiration. The pieces we've had for a while have stood up to plenty of wear and we love the prices and ability to customize many of their pieces. I love that they have sample rooms to experience and get some ideas and additional segmented spaces for certain needs like office furniture, kitchens, storage, kids spaces. The prices for the quality of furniture are awesome. Ikea seems to be very eco-conscious, building pieces with that in mind. We didn't purchase any furniture on this visit, but got some great ideas and some odds and ends on sale while we browsed. This was my first experience dining in as well. There was a short line around 12:30 on Sunday and it moved relatively quickly. The little one and I loved the meatballs (sans gravy) while hubby enjoyed salmon. The food was fresh and tasty and we ended up grabbing a bag of frozen balls to take home. They had some really neat foodie items to snag downstairs behind the registers, which is where you'll find some of the items they serve in the cafe upstairs.Overall, a great experience. I look forward to finding some more treasures for our home!“
“The butter chicken here is out of this world! So flavorful and familiar while still maintaining a unique wonderful flavor. The raita was also excellent! Thick and flavorful! If you want Indian food, you want it from Saffron!Parking: The downtown Norfolk location is, well downtown Norfolk and parking is parking! May the odds be ever in your favor.“
“I liked the restaurant, the atmosphere is very relaxing, soft music to enjoy the food. We had samosas for starters, they were very good, food in general was good, as described. Little bit expensive for the quantity, but the flavor was very good. Service was excellent. Will visit again!“
“The owner, Paul, came up and spoke with us and was wonderful. You can tell he really cares about customers. Also, I asked for no onions in my vegetable biryani and he made a special request to the cook to cook without onions -- which is unusual. And the food was fantastic as well.“
“I have ordered twice now and I can honestly say this has become a bit of an addiction. It's always a delightful mix of wholesome veggies and sinful tastes and textures. The mango lassi and jalapeno naan were an instant love as well.. The restaurant also has a casual dining area that is nice if you were eating alone or with friends and family.“
“Great neighborhood bar. Friendly people and the kitchen is clean, bathrooms, clean and the service is great unlike what the old bitty Carol said in her review. That was unfair and she obviously is an old bat. I don’t know many people up there, but been enough times to know it’s clean, friendly and a great little neighborhood restaurant and bar.“
“I'm on an Indian food kick. I tried this place because they have a daily lunch buffet. The buffet is great if you're a meat eater, there were 3 or 4 meat dishes. The only vegetarian options on the buffet that day were vegetable biryani (very little vegetables), dal and a tomato, carrot, cucumber salad. I asked if they ever put saag paneer on the buffet and I was told sometimes. I had to order that separately. It's a good buffet for meat eaters. The server was attentive and there's plenty of parking.“
“We ordered the Non veg family meal for $90. Everything, was perfect. We shall be returning soon I have lived in Hamptin Roads for the last 40 years. Finally have found an authentic North Indian restaurant. My round trip was 100 miles. But it was worth it. My hats off to the chef. Portions were big size. Even Samosas were freshly made. Glad I made this trip with my family.“
