“The dinning room is very pretty, elegantly lit and the music is calming. The food I had was excellent. The Konkani mussels were scrumptious…the mussels themselves are huge and the sauce is super creamy and comforting. I also got some garlic naan and the tangy onion chutney. Loved the chutney…really well balanced…sweet and savory. I do think the garlic naan could use more garlic, but that’s probably a personal preference; texturally it’s delicious. Also the chai tea was smooth and very flavorful. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, but the only opportunity regarding service is having to wait a bit long to get the check, but that’s minor. It certainly doesn’t deter me from coming back - I’ll be back here to eat again, with friends. I highly recommend this place for quick bite or a nice, group gathering over a great meal. The food is very flavorful and so soul-satisfying.“
“I went during lunch. They have an amazing lunch special, vegetarian or non vegetarian, for around $20. You get rice and naan along with 3, maybe 4, dishes and dessert. I also ordered vegetable pakora which was delicious. My daughter ordered the Mixed Grill. It had every meat imaginable and she said everything was good. There was also, I'm assuming, Indian pop music playing in the background which I really enjoyed and our server was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant and will be returning.Vegetarian options: There were a lot of vegetarian options that were clearly labeled on the menu.Parking: Saffron is located at the Town Center where free parking garages are plentiful.Kid-friendliness: I can't speak on the availability of highchairs or boosters but there are a lot of spacious boothsWheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is at ground level.“
“If looking for good indian food in Virginia beach, Nawab is place togo. I did a takeout but will do dine in next time. Spice levels mean something here so be careful, we ordered level 4 and it was spicy. Daal and bhindi masala was better than good. Humble and helpful staff .“
“Great neighborhood bar. Friendly people and the kitchen is clean, bathrooms, clean and the service is great unlike what the old bitty Carol said in her review. That was unfair and she obviously is an old bat. I don’t know many people up there, but been enough times to know it’s clean, friendly and a great little neighborhood restaurant and bar.“
