The front of house team collectively took our orders, pre-bussed us well. They also recommended food, checked back, and further recommended other items for our next visit.
This was the best Sushi roll experience I have ever had. The Howlulu roll blew me away. I know it isnt traditional to have cooked items plus cream cheese in a roll, but man...it was INCREDIBLE:
Shrimp Tempura and cream cheese hand rolled with rare steak and avocado on top... my goodness. Each piece made me close my eyes and chew, it was so good.
We will be traveling from Yorktown to dine in again bi-monthly Im sure.”

There’s three other people who have been waiting the same time as I am for their orders. A dine-in guest arrive around 11am and has already received their food. There’s also food piling up at the counter but it’s not being bagged. More and more people are arriving for online orders and the food continues to pile up. Didn’t leave until 11:20, and my wrap was sitting there in the bagged food pile the entire time.
I can understand if this was the actual lunch hour but the store was basically empty(except for ppl waiting for online) when I arrived. Also, no apology or “sorry for the wait” or anything. Again, the Chesapeake locations of restaurants just cannot be bothered.”

Have you ever tried peanut butter beer? They have it. It is one of my favorites. I do recommend 5 stars overall in the community sense. In the biker sense…it is 5 stars as well. They are supporting the local biker community with bike nights and attending biker events. The employees are really kind and nice. They really enjoy the bikers of Hampton Roads. 5 stars. We do recommend this brewery.”

The baked potato was cold and the asparagus soggy and limp! What a meal, the server did offer to cook another steak, but since I was with a large crowd did not want to be eating my meal when everyone was ready to leave, I declined and asked for an adjustment to my check, they gave me a $20 adjustment, wow!! I ordered a cup of she crab soup, which was tasty, $8. And, I had a coke. Ended up spending $50 since gratuity was added. As a way of compensation I was brought a banana pudding that the bananas were rotten in. On the positive side, my service was very attentive and friendly, so I did leave an addition to my already charged for gratuity. The ambiance is very warm and welcoming. On the down side, there is no seating for folks that are waiting to be seated. We were told we could go to our cars and be texted when our table was ready, or wait at the bar which had insufficient seating. Our table had been reserved over a month ago, but still had to wait to be seated since "our" table was currently occupied and they were waiting for them to leave, so 11 of us were all huddled up by the front door, with no seating. Going back to the cars was unacceptable, if you've ever seen that parking lot at dinner time you know why. I was very disappointed that I brought 10 other people and was under compensated. My husband asked when I got home how were things, I just said, never again. Now, in all fairness, this was not my first visit. My other visit was for Sunday brunch, equally unimpressed. Oh, and as an added note, the prices that were reflected on the menu were all ignored and we were charged more, without being told. I'm sorry this review is so unflattering, but I'm compelled to tell the truth especially when fine dining. It's all such a shame. I was embarrassed that I was responsible for bringing a large crowd, since I saw several things left on plates. What a shame. The stars do not reflect my review, site would not allow me to change number of stars, I’d say 2 stars.”

“We stopped at Union Taco to grab some plant based Dinner. We really enjoyed ourselves. They have a very laid back vibe (with indoor & outdoor seating). They also have a great bat selection (note that thier bar is heavy with Tequila). If you like Tequila then you will be in for a treat as they have a very extensive collection of quality Tequilas. I converted to plant based eating roughly 5 weeks ago, so I ordered the cauliflower steak & some cauliflower tacos. It was all very delicious (good flavor & healthy). Lastly the service was great with our bartender taking the time of explaining the different tyoes of tequilas (as I'm a bourbon guy). We enjoyed ourselves & plan on going back there again in the next few weeks. I highly recommend trying Union Taco. You won't regret it.

“A long-time Subway guy, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and cost of a great hot ham and cheese sub. It took me back to when I was in college 40 years ago when I would get a hot ham and cheese sub for dinner at a food truck. Those were the best hot subs in town. ZEROS offers the same.”

“I just had a fabulous omelet from IHOP. I tried the white egg omelet with mushrooms, tomato, spinach, and pesto. It came with a fresh fruit cup. I have to say it was one of the best omelets I have ever eaten. The ingredients were really fresh and the tomatoes were so sweet. The fruit cup was freshly cut fruit consisting of grapes, pineapple, and honey dew melon. The waitress said she actually cut the pineapple herself. Our waitress, Sabrina, did an excellent job caring for us. Everyone posts the complaints. I hope the restaurant sees this and continues taking great pride in their restaurant.”

“Took some house guests to the Amber Lantern, the food and atmosphere were excellent. It’s a much quieter restaurant than some of the others in Chesapeake so you can actually have a conversation without yelling. I love nice drinks when I’m out and they don’t really have a good drink menu so you have to come up with ideas on your own. I recommend they fix that. All in all this is a very good restaurant. It is tucked away off the beaten path, but that adds to its charm. Our server was very good. The only reason I’m not giving an overall excellent rating is for the drink menu and the fact that our first impression was of a young staff member loitering near the entrance and cussing while taking to someone else.”
