They don't have control over the app or the driver, they also can't refund if you paid through the app. They offered a store credit, but that didn't solve the problem, I was at Karen level by this time. But they made it right- Alex drove to my house with my margaritas and not just one, but 2 tacos for my daughter. Now that is how you take care of the customer. Only Los Primos at Hanbury for this family from now on!!”

A young man name Kamari who takes the drive through orders is a stand out worker when it comes to customer service. When McDonalds pisses me off and I come across the street to Burger King he always makes my day better. Let me nit leave out that the store is CLEAN!”

I don’t particularly care for McDonalds food, but my kids do and they love this particular establishments play place. Always other kids to play with as well. Great rainy day spot, and you can actually kinda relax hahaha!”

“I do enjoy and recommend Winston’s, but would like to also give a shout out to our waitress and cook working 10/18/25 around 11:30, and also a concern to one gentleman who showed up for work around then as well. I wish I had names, especially for the amazing waitress who served us (she was blond, I know that!). I came in with my daughter and elderly father who has dementia. Dad wanted an egg sandwich. We had already driven by some of the usual breakfast spots and naturally they were packed. I stopped because I had seen that sometimes Winston’s offers brunch, and learned that at least yesterday they did not. However the waitress checked with the kitchen, they had eggs, bread, and bacon and the cook graciously agreed to make my dad a sandwich. So very kind of them and very much appreciated!! ABOVE AND BEYOND!! My daughter and I ordered regular menu items and while waiting for our meals a gentleman came in carrying some groceries. I guess he saw the cook making an egg sandwich when he entered the kitchen and proceeded to loudly berate both the waitress and cook, yelling about how, “We don’t f@ck!ng do breakfast, we don’t make eggs, it’s not on the menu, you have no right to make that f-ing guy eggs, all to what? Keep one f-ing customer?” I am paraphrasing, but not exaggerating at all - he was cursing them out, f-bombs and all, and it was quite easy to hear from where we sat, as the customers in question. I felt awful to have gotten the waitress in trouble, and hearing him treat staff this way as well as talking about paying customers this way put a bad taste in my mouth during what would and should have been an outstanding experience. So, a huge thank you to 2/3 of the staff I encountered yesterday. Food was great, service was great, but that one guy really needs to find some zen - and he could learn a thing or two from the rest of the staff regarding customer service.”

“I am writing to address an issue I had with a recent order at the Portsmouth location in Chesapeake Square Mall. The problem I encountered with a recent order for the Chicken and Shrimp Chipotle Pasta for myself and my sister. When we opened the order at home, we found that the dish only contained chicken and no shrimp. I called the store, and the manager instructed me to return the order for a replacement, which I did. However, upon receiving the remake, we found that it was only half the portion size of the original meal—essentially, the chef appeared to have split one full dish into two smaller portions, rather than properly preparing two separate orders. As a loyal customer, I have never experienced service like this before, and the entire situation was very frustrating. Not only did I have to return to the store twice, but the second attempt still did not resolve the issue. I called the store again, and at that point, the manager, Brooke, asked if I had taken pictures of the order. I did, and I am happy to share those images with you as an attachment. The total cost of the meal was $40.28, and I feel that the value and quality of the service did not meet my expectations. I am hoping for a prompt resolution to this matter. Thank you for your attention to this issue. I look forward to your response.”

“Visited the Battlefield Boulevard location of Joyu Coffee & Tea and was immediately impressed by how much larger it is than the Haygood location. The decor is cute, and they have a corner with games, which makes it feel like a place where you could actually hang out for a while rather than just grab a drink and leave.

I ordered the Mango Dragon Fresh Tea with ube cold foam, full sugar, and regular ice. The tea and foam were both delicious. The only thing I would change next time is the sweetness level. Full sugar was a bit much for me, and I’d probably order it at half sugar. While they do have Splenda packets available in the dining area, I think it would be helpful to offer a sugar alternative such as Stevia or Splenda during the drink preparation process. Taking the lid off a drink topped with cold foam to add sweetener yourself could get messy pretty quickly.

A couple of things could be improved operationally. Be prepared for a wait. We arrived around 9:15 a.m. There was only one customer in the store who had already ordered before us, so they were not busy. Even so, it took about 20 minutes for our drinks to come out. There was only one employee working, Gabby, who appeared to be handling everything herself.

While waiting, I initially assumed the tea was being brewed fresh, but later noticed an open pitcher of tea sitting on a shelf. That seemed unsanitary, especially since I had to swat away a flying insect while sitting there. It immediately made me wonder what would happen if a bug ended up in the pitcher. Covering it or storing it somewhere less visible would create a much better impression.

We also ordered cheesecake, and while Gabby used a cake server to remove the slices, she wasn’t wearing gloves while packaging them. That also came across as unsanitary. Additionally, none of the pastries were labeled, so we had to ask what everything was. Labeling them would make ordering easier for both customers and staff.

A few additional notes: if you’re coming from Battlefield Boulevard, the entrance is actually behind the building, so you’ll need to drive around to access the parking lot. Also, they don’t open until 9 a.m., which feels a little late for a coffee and tea shop.

Overall, I enjoyed my drink and really liked the atmosphere. The larger space and game area make this location stand out. The tea itself was great, but there are some operational and cleanliness-related details that could be improved to match the otherwise inviting vibe of the shop.”

“I got the lamb over rice and it was very similar to what I had in NYC from a street cart. I've been craving that since last time we were in NYC and I'm so glad I can get it locally.
