Service was prompt and the food was very good. I had the Johnny Rocco salad, which was fresh and tasty. Tonya took great care of us, and we appreciated the outstanding customer service. I called and after talking to the hostest and the manager, I finally got to Alex. They don't have control over the app or the driver, they also can't refund if you paid through the app. They offered a store credit, but that didn't solve the problem, I was at Karen level by this time. But they made it right- Alex drove to my house with my margaritas and not just one, but 2 tacos for my daughter. Now that is how you take care of the customer. Only Los Primos at Hanbury for this family from now on!!”

“My family and I frequently come here to play. I love that the play place has its own area with tables and a door to close it off so kids can’t run out. The staff is also really friendly! The tables and chairs in the play area have always been clean, so has the bathroom in there.

The pizza was exactly like home. Thin crust with a little crunch, good cheese and light sauce! Perfection! The gentleman who was working tonight was friendly too! “I stopped in on a Friday evening and was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get a table right away with no wait. It's a smaller restaurant, but there are several tables as well as bar-style seating around the cooking area.
I ordered the hibachi steak and shrimp, which started with a salad and miso soup. The salad came with the dressing already on it. I'm not really a dressing person, so I would have preferred being asked or having the dressing served on the side. I did try it, but it wasn't really for me, so I didn't eat much of the salad.
The miso soup was served nice and hot and had a few pieces of seaweed, but there were literally only about two small pieces of tofu in the entire bowl, and I didn't notice any green onions. I would have enjoyed it more with a little more tofu and the usual additions.
The main meal was definitely the highlight. The steak was cooked perfectly, the shrimp was amazing, and the vegetables were great. They also give you a very generous amount of food, the serving was definitely not small! I liked the fried rice, although I wish it had more egg in it. I love egg in my fried rice, and I think I only found two very small pieces in the entire serving.
The food came out quickly, and the service was wonderful. My server was very attentive throughout the meal without being overbearing.
Overall, it was a nice visit. The steak and shrimp were absolutely the stars of the meal and were both excellent, and the portion size was very good. The soup, salad, and fried rice were more just okay for me. I'd be happy to eat here again if someone wanted to go, but it probably wouldn't be somewhere I'd personally seek out on a regular basis.”

“I do enjoy and recommend Winston’s, but would like to also give a shout out to our waitress and cook working 10/18/25 around 11:30, and also a concern to one gentleman who showed up for work around then as well. I wish I had names, especially for the amazing waitress who served us (she was blond, I know that!). I came in with my daughter and elderly father who has dementia. Dad wanted an egg sandwich. We had already driven by some of the usual breakfast spots and naturally they were packed. I stopped because I had seen that sometimes Winston’s offers brunch, and learned that at least yesterday they did not. However the waitress checked with the kitchen, they had eggs, bread, and bacon and the cook graciously agreed to make my dad a sandwich. So very kind of them and very much appreciated!! ABOVE AND BEYOND!! My daughter and I ordered regular menu items and while waiting for our meals a gentleman came in carrying some groceries. I guess he saw the cook making an egg sandwich when he entered the kitchen and proceeded to loudly berate both the waitress and cook, yelling about how, “We don’t f@ck!ng do breakfast, we don’t make eggs, it’s not on the menu, you have no right to make that f-ing guy eggs, all to what? Keep one f-ing customer?” I am paraphrasing, but not exaggerating at all - he was cursing them out, f-bombs and all, and it was quite easy to hear from where we sat, as the customers in question. I felt awful to have gotten the waitress in trouble, and hearing him treat staff this way as well as talking about paying customers this way put a bad taste in my mouth during what would and should have been an outstanding experience. So, a huge thank you to 2/3 of the staff I encountered yesterday. Food was great, service was great, but that one guy really needs to find some zen - and he could learn a thing or two from the rest of the staff regarding customer service.”

“I came here at the recommendation of a Japanese Yoga Instructor who was working in Virginia Beach, and it was amazing! I went by myself, sat at the bar comfortably in peace. I had the Hiro Roll, the New York Roll, the Chanwanmushi, and got I believe Tendon to go, as well as a creme Brule. I could have eaten here every day. The sushi chef is from Nagoya, and very kind. I lived in Japan for 4 years, and this took me right back. Prices also match that! Nothing was ridiculously priced, I just ordered a lot. Hiro Roll was my favorite. Ah, and all with a glass of cold plum wine on a summer day. In total it was around $70, but that was my rolls, with an alcoholic drink, and another meal to go with dessert... Thank you to the entire staff for making such delicious food and keeping such a peaceful atmosphere.”

“I am writing to address an issue I had with a recent order at the Portsmouth location in Chesapeake Square Mall. The problem I encountered with a recent order for the Chicken and Shrimp Chipotle Pasta for myself and my sister. When we opened the order at home, we found that the dish only contained chicken and no shrimp. I called the store, and the manager instructed me to return the order for a replacement, which I did. For appetizers we got calamari and fried mozzarella. The calamari was pretty good but the fried mozzarella was too cheesy and I wasn’t a fan. On the down side, there is no seating for folks that are waiting to be seated. We were told we could go to our cars and be texted when our table was ready, or wait at the bar which had insufficient seating. Our table had been reserved over a month ago, but still had to wait to be seated since "our" table was currently occupied and they were waiting for them to leave, so 11 of us were all huddled up by the front door, with no seating. Going back to the cars was unacceptable, if you've ever seen that parking lot at dinner time you know why. I was very disappointed that I brought 10 other people and was under compensated. My husband asked when I got home how were things, I just said, never again. Now, in all fairness, this was not my first visit. My other visit was for Sunday brunch, equally unimpressed. Oh, and as an added note, the prices that were reflected on the menu were all ignored and we were charged more, without being told. I'm sorry this review is so unflattering, but I'm compelled to tell the truth especially when fine dining. It's all such a shame. I was embarrassed that I was responsible for bringing a large crowd, since I saw several things left on plates. What a shame.
