“Nori Japan... was probably the first place I ever tried teriyaki chicken all the way back in 2003 or 2004. I was blown away and by high school I was a fixture there ordering the teriyaki chicken with double meat, on rice or noodle, with no veg probably two to three times a month until I moved away. Then every single time I'm back home the first place I stop is at the Chesapeake Square Mall and sure enough the familiar faces that have been working and owning Nori Japan for years are there to greet me, they still remember my order, and the teriyaki sauce is still my favorite in all of the world and I've had teriyaki chicken in places all over the world from Tokyo to Bangkok to hell London to Hollywood and still... Nori Japan Chesapeake holds that #1 spot for teryiaki chicken for me.
This place is an institution and a corner stone of the area. A a true blessing of a restaurant, I can promise yall that.
P.S. if yall could tell me what your teriyaki sauce recipe is since I live across the country now... I'd kiss yall lol“
