“This was my first time here and this place is absolutely a hidden gem. I’ll admit from the looks of the building I wasn’t expecting such exceptional service and quality. Our server was so accommodating and nice. Gave us a free desert at the end of our meal and was so attentive to us. The restaurant was quiet and everyone was very friendly and inviting. On top of the amazing service the food was absolutely delicious, I honestly cannot recommend this place enough for someone else. I don’t live nearby but hopefully I can make it a point to return and eat here again.“

“This gem is an absolute must try! As soon as you walk in you feel relaxed - the atmosphere and decor are wonderful! And there's no dust anywhere to be seen... Often in a place with lots of nice decorations I tend to focus on the dust...I didn't see any here! The staff was so friendly and nice - she even gave us a complimentary iron man roll! Which was phenomenal!! It was so delicious! Highly recommend the Volvo Roll, also! The sushi tasted fresh, too! Iykyk!! 10/10 recommend and yes we will be back! “I stopped in on a Friday evening and was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get a table right away with no wait. It's a smaller restaurant, but there are several tables as well as bar-style seating around the cooking area.

I ordered the hibachi steak and shrimp, which started with a salad and miso soup. The salad came with the dressing already on it. I'm not really a dressing person, so I would have preferred being asked or having the dressing served on the side. I did try it, but it wasn't really for me, so I didn't eat much of the salad.

The miso soup was served nice and hot and had a few pieces of seaweed, but there were literally only about two small pieces of tofu in the entire bowl, and I didn't notice any green onions. I would have enjoyed it more with a little more tofu and the usual additions.

The main meal was definitely the highlight. The steak was cooked perfectly, the shrimp was amazing, and the vegetables were great. They also give you a very generous amount of food, the serving was definitely not small! I liked the fried rice, although I wish it had more egg in it. I love egg in my fried rice, and I think I only found two very small pieces in the entire serving.

The food came out quickly, and the service was wonderful. My server was very attentive throughout the meal without being overbearing.

Overall, it was a nice visit. The steak and shrimp were absolutely the stars of the meal and were both excellent, and the portion size was very good. The soup, salad, and fried rice were more just okay for me. I'd be happy to eat here again if someone wanted to go, but it probably wouldn't be somewhere I'd personally seek out on a regular basis.“

“I love coming here. The food is ALWAYS delicious and well worth the cost (which is still really well priced). The staff is friendly, respectful and a joy. I've been here multiple times with my children, alone and with my fiancée. It is always perfect. This place is a gem. I highly recommend it and the steak, the shrimp tempura and California Roll.“

“I came here at the recommendation of a Japanese Yoga Instructor who was working in Virginia Beach, and it was amazing! I went by myself, sat at the bar comfortably in peace. I had the Hiro Roll, the New York Roll, the Chanwanmushi, and got I believe Tendon to go, as well as a creme Brule. I could have eaten here every day. The sushi chef is from Nagoya, and very kind. I lived in Japan for 4 years, and this took me right back. Prices also match that! Nothing was ridiculously priced, I just ordered a lot. Hiro Roll was my favorite. Ah, and all with a glass of cold plum wine on a summer day. In total it was around $70, but that was my rolls, with an alcoholic drink, and another meal to go with dessert... Thank you to the entire staff for making such delicious food and keeping such a peaceful atmosphere.“

“I come here as much as I can. Their ginger sauce is the best around. Also their tuna tataki no matter how it's made is by far the top of the tier. I've been to over 20 places and no others compare. Always fresh and good flavor. You won't be disappointed.“

“We came here on a Saturday for a birthday dinner with 12 people and made a reservation. It was surprisingly not very busy. There is a small bar by the door where you can order drinks while you wait around if you do end up waiting but we were seated and our orders were all taken. Everything comes with a little miss soup and salad before the cook comes out. The cook will come out with everyone's food at the same time to cook in front of you and make a few jokes and show off his skills. Everything was tasty and it went by in a timely fashion.“

“I have to say this restaurant was truly a pleasant surprise. It was my first time, coming to a family gathering organized by a friend. The restaurant is spacious with a modern and elegant decor and a very comfortable environment. The food was delicious, every dish had its own character, especially the variety of sushi — fresh ingredients, precise knife work, and first-class texture; the desserts were also outstanding, beautifully presented and tasting great. The staff were warm and attentive, professional from seating to ordering to serving. Overall, I really enjoyed this restaurant. I'll definitely come again and recommend it to more people.“
