In the survey I received via email, there was a question if the owner stopped by the table, which I answered no. The only complaint I have was I was a little disappointed in the amount of fries that came with my burger. The burger was awesome. There was also a crumbled up straw wrapper by one of the ketchup bottles on the table. I did not bring it to anyone's attention. I will however be back.“

“I am writing to address an issue I had with a recent order at the Portsmouth location in Chesapeake Square Mall. The problem I encountered with a recent order for the Chicken and Shrimp Chipotle Pasta for myself and my sister. When we opened the order at home, we found that the dish only contained chicken and no shrimp. I called the store, and the manager instructed me to return the order for a replacement, which I did. However, upon receiving the remake, we found that it was only half the portion size of the original meal—essentially, the chef appeared to have split one full dish into two smaller portions, rather than properly preparing two separate orders. As a loyal customer, I have never experienced service like this before, and the entire situation was very frustrating. Not only did I have to return to the store twice, but the second attempt still did not resolve the issue. I called the store again, and at that point, the manager, Brooke, asked if I had taken pictures of the order. I did, and I am happy to share those images with you as an attachment. The total cost of the meal was $40.28, and I feel that the value and quality of the service did not meet my expectations. I am hoping for a prompt resolution to this matter. Thank you for your attention to this issue. I look forward to your response.“

“I went to Mr. Jim's because this is what my mom wanted to eat after she decided not to have dialysis anymore. We live in Virginia Beach, and I drove here to get her the Italian sub that she remembered and loved. I asked for the manager to tell her how much she loved Mr. Jim's and wanted an Italian sub only from here. Thank you for being her favorite place to get a sub and even after she is no longer with us I will continue to come to Mr Jim's in her honor. From a daughter who will miss her mom and from a new lifelong customer.“

“I do enjoy and recommend Winston’s, but would like to also give a shout out to our waitress and cook working 10/18/25 around 11:30, and also a concern to one gentleman who showed up for work around then as well. I wish I had names, especially for the amazing waitress who served us (she was blond, I know that!). I came in with my daughter and elderly father who has dementia. Dad wanted an egg sandwich. We had already driven by some of the usual breakfast spots and naturally they were packed. I stopped because I had seen that sometimes Winston’s offers brunch, and learned that at least yesterday they did not. However the waitress checked with the kitchen, they had eggs, bread, and bacon and the cook graciously agreed to make my dad a sandwich. So very kind of them and very much appreciated!! ABOVE AND BEYOND!! My daughter and I ordered regular menu items and while waiting for our meals a gentleman came in carrying some groceries. I guess he saw the cook making an egg sandwich when he entered the kitchen and proceeded to loudly berate both the waitress and cook, yelling about how, “We don’t f@ck!ng do breakfast, we don’t make eggs, it’s not on the menu, you have no right to make that f-ing guy eggs, all to what? Keep one f-ing customer?” I am paraphrasing, but not exaggerating at all - he was cursing them out, f-bombs and all, and it was quite easy to hear from where we sat, as the customers in question. I felt awful to have gotten the waitress in trouble, and hearing him treat staff this way as well as talking about paying customers this way put a bad taste in my mouth during what would and should have been an outstanding experience. So, a huge thank you to 2/3 of the staff I encountered yesterday. Food was great, service was great, but that one guy really needs to find some zen - and he could learn a thing or two from the rest of the staff regarding customer service.“

“I always see the sign for Americas Greatest wings, gyros, subs, burgers & seafood and decided today was the day to see if this was false advertisement. First off the service was great and the food was prepared pretty fast. I ordered the lamb Gyro with fries and some dry lemon pepper wings. The gyro was nice and hot with just the right amout of sauce. I'm used to having it with shaved meat but the way this was prepared it still hit the spot. As for those wings, they were cooked to perfection and stayed so hot as I ate them that it made me think they were still cooking in the container while I rode home. Ill definitely be back for the gyro and wings.“

“Not completely obvious from the main road, this little Dairy Queen is worth a stop. The toppings are always fresh, food arrives fast, I've never gotten an incorrect order and servings are always the amount expected or more (at least for ice cream). And this is hands-down ALWAYS the friendliest fast food store staff I have ever met. I don't always get the same person, but whomever is at the window always greets me and has a big smile. That alone keeps me coming back. This must be a fun place to work.“

“Was in Chesapeake Virginia and it was. Free cone day so we stopped at DQ there and picked up a free cone. The DQ'S in Elizabeth City and edenton do not do any permotions at their store they are owned by the same people. Never do the same things thstvall other DQ'S do.“

“The entire staff Day and Night are amazing. The mangers are friendly and accommodating the front counter and drive through associates are very friendly and polite. My family visits almost daily and even if I mess up and forget to say “ plain” they have no problem with fixing my mistake. A young man name Kamari who takes the drive through orders is a stand out worker when it comes to customer service. When McDonalds pisses me off and I come across the street to Burger King he always makes my day better. Let me nit leave out that the store is CLEAN!“

“Our order was a reordered since some items were left out a few days prior. They replaced the entire order. The new order was complete and tasty. The order was a double, a single and fries with both. 2 drinks were also included. The only issue was we don't live close so that was inconvenient. We asked for a refund for the items left out to be returned to the purchase method so we didn't have to make the trip. It was denied. So, we waited until the next time we were out that way to get the replacement. All turned out well.“

“I think it’s important to write a review when you have an awesome experience, and today was that day at Dairy Queen. It was really busy today around 8 so I decided to go inside. 1) everyone was extremely safe in regards to COVID 2) the cashier I had (it says Kiera on my receipt) was extremely nice and efficient. I told her I had a hefty order (8 ice creams) and she was able to get everything accurate right off the bat and was just overall so sweet. Awesome job girl👍🏻 3) they made ALL my ice creams so quickly. Like....freaky fast efficient. “This Hardee's should not just have a 3.9. It should be a top score. The women that serve breakfast are absolutely the sweetest and most proficient I've seen at Hardee's. “My daughter and I had a long day today with stops in Norfolk and Virginia Beach near Lynnhaven Mall. By the time we were near Janaf in Norfolk, I was craving a Whopper. There’s another Burger King nearby, but I’ve had a bad experience there, so I always come to this location because the food is consistently fresh even when ordering through the app.

We actually live in Suffolk, about 10 miles away, but we still choose this Burger King because it’s worth the drive. We even passed our exit just so I could get my usual double Whopper (don’t judge!) cut in half. I placed the order but arrived a little early without realizing it. One employee greeted me but couldn’t find the order, and then Billy stepped in. He found it right away and kindly explained that I was early. After the day we’d had, I didn’t even notice. He told me not to worry at all.

When I pulled up to the window, smoke was billowing from the grill — you don’t see that often at Burger King anymore. It told me everything I needed to know: my food was being cooked fresh. When Billy handed me my order, I told him how much his service surprised and impressed me. He is such a nice young man, and his parents clearly raised him well.

Honestly, while I was waiting for my sandwich, I had already decided I was going to leave a review. But when Billy said I made his day, he made mine too. This location continues to earn my business.“

“The food I got was absolutely terrible. I don’t know why, but my fries were sour for some reason. Besides that, everything else was pretty okay. The only reason why I gave the service and atmosphere a 4/5 is because I came right before closing time, of course the atmosphere and service isn’t going to be the best. At that time, literally no one wants to work, and yet they still gave me my order quickly and correctly, which is something I can respect. And yes, I get that the food may not be the best at 9pm, but it doesn’t excuse my fries being sour, I would have expected them to be cold instead.“
