“The service was GREAT, the food was good. I would definitely go back again. The tacos and quesadillas were really good. The taquito was ok.Vegetarian options: They will make most options without meat if you like, so there are plenty of choices.Parking: It is on the corner of strip and so there is plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: The place is kid friendly. There were plenty of kids there when I was eating. They enjoyed themselves.Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheel chair friendly.“
“This place is always amazing, good authentic food but lately it's getting a little ridiculous. I ordered guacamole and chips and when they brought it out I had the chips and salsa chips on the table. Now tell me when we we're leaving I asked for chips to go she said that would be extra! But I bought guacamole and chips and you gave me complimentary chips and salsa mean while spending what $10.50 on guacamole and can't get my chips to go with my guac?. Idk if I'm in the wrong here but that doesn't add up here. I paid for guacamole and hopefully that would come with chips. Now the chips and salsa on the table mind you are amazing but not part of this transaction. Anyway long story short, people wonder why they tips are mediocre. I know what I paid for and should have at least gotten some chips to go. Back story never asked for refill on my complimentary chips so.. ?“
“A great little local gem. Excellent food, especially the the fajitasTexanas (you gotta love the shrimp). Best frozen Margaritas around. Very friendly staff. You always feel welcome.Vegetarian options: My wife loves the enchiladas vegetarians.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp and all on one floor. Both tables and booths are available.“
“Amazing local Mexican cuisine! I had the Chipotle Burrito with a pork tamale on the side while my wife had the enchiladas molé. Both of us were stuffed off of the portion size and my wife had leftovers as well. The meal was under 30 dollars for us both, so quite reasonable prices! Daily specials as well, which is why my wife got the enchiladas for only 8.99. Check them out!“
“Literally one of the best spots for Birria !! The consumé was perfectly seasoned!! The carnitas were moist and so tender. The shrimp quesadilla was filled with perfectly cooked shrimp and fresh sauteed veggies!! All accompanied salads were made with vibrant veggies and fresh avocado!!! The Horchata was spiced perfectly. Strawberry Horchata!!!!, if you haven't had it , you need too. The Paloma was served in an adorable clay pot within tajin to garnish the rim.!!! We also ordered Pupusa, which were slightly over cheesy to me but the taste and authenticity was def there. I would recommend this place ten times over compared to the other "Mexican" restaurants in the area. Now I will say, which could be a problem for some, fortunately we spoke the language, but our waitress spoke no English. Other than that TRY THIS PLACE !!! TOTALLY WORTH IT ?“
“I have been here a couple of times. I have had a couple deferent things and it has all been good. The staff is very nice, and it's always clean even the bathroom. If I could make one request. Is that they need a changing table with wipes to clean it.“
“Always love this place for Taco Tuesday lunch with my bestie. Staff is pleasant, friendly and efficient. Food is delicious and won't break the bank. Atmosphere is typical Mexican restaurant, but clean and the booths give you some privacy to catch up with your companions.“
“Ordered cheese sauce on the side. Came on top. Asked for a menu to see dessert. Told me desserts instead. I asked again to see the menu. Fried ice cream...interesting. Coating seemed stale as did the shell it was served in. Felt rushed to leave even though there were plenty of open tables. Check was even brought to us without desserts on it by the manager. This is so unusual. We generally have a great experience here.“
“Always great food and great service. This place is a gold mine. Well definitely come back. I personally love there soup. Not really a fan of the white sauce. I've had better. Serving sizes are generous and prices are decent. Hence why they're always so busy.“
“I love the food here and the little grocery store. I have been coming here for years and have no complaints. Sometimes the lines are little long and wait is longer on busier days but not too bad. I have noticed that Friday seems to be the busiest day so avoid Friday especially in the evening if you want fast service. I saw another review complaining they didn't have hard taco shells and the language barrier. The sign says "authentic Mexican food" hard tacos are not authentic. Do not come here expecting taco bell lol. If you would order what is actually on the menu there wouldn't be much trouble with a language barrier. I don't speak much spanish myself and have never had an issue. If you want REAL and delicious tacos and maybe a snack afterwards I would recommend this place. But if you want a hard shell taco with ground beef just go to Taco Bell lol. 10/10 place will continue to come here.“
“First time going (3/4/24) & we had a ball‼️ went for my daughters 16th birthday, the food was amazing, our waiter Chuy was absolutely AMAZING‼️‼️ they came out & surprised her with a birthday song lol & gave her a free dessert! The way the waiter interacted with my kids was amazing to watch, his energy & spirit is so pure! Can’t wait to go back“
“Very good food. The service was good as well. I really liked their salsa. It definitely is an older looking place.I had the burritos alegres. It's described as beef tips, but it is shredded beef. Still very good, just not what I expected. The seafood chimichanga was good. It had what I think was shredded crab and shrimp on top inside the tortilla. It was good, but not excellent.“
“Got take out and couldn't be happier with their simple taco salad. Delicious and flavorful and everything a chicken taco salad should be. My husband got the fajita taco salad and he was super satisfied also. Will come back again and again.“
“Sunday afternoon nice day out, seated right away. Friendly server, more options than expected on menu. Tried a trio of various tacos, all were fabulous.Flavors were abundant and balanced. Sweet tea afficionados will find great tea here. Looking forward to trying more from the menu.“
“Manager was super friendly and helpful! Food was great and their “wall of Flame” hot sauce selection is amazing. I’m a “fire eating pepper head” and they had some incredible choices. Will absolutely go back!!!Vegetarian options: Seasoned Veggies, tofu, quinoa, all on tacos burritos or in a bowl“
“Pretty good food. Salsa was a tad heavy on the cilantro which was delicious for me. I ordered the chicken taco salad. It comes topped with cheese and guac. The chicken was on the bottom and lots of lettuce in between the top and bottom. It was tasty. My husband got the Vegetarian E meal. It was okay. The sauce was really good. Quesadilla would have been better with some beans in it. Ambiance was nice. Decently quiet even though the restaurant was fairly busy. We would come here again.“
“I am 28 and have been coming here faithfully since I was a child. The food tastes like a home cooked meal and its always so fresh. The staff is amazing and they are always so kind and polite. I always order the burrito deluxe with a side of rice and a hard taco on the side. The fajitas are also great and the salsa and white sauce are the best I have had. Love this place sooooo much !“
“You can never fo wrong with Plaza Azteca! The food comes out fast and is always consistently great! The icing on the cake for me, though, is that they have some of the very best sweet tea I have ever had, and I drink a lot... of tea, that is. They will bring out my sweet tea in one of those huge frosty beer mugs!“
“Delicious, inexpensive, authentic Mexican restaurant. Fast and friendly service. Very tasty food....love the red salsa and chips!!! Delicious beef enchiladas and chicken burritos. Hubby loves the Califirnia burrito and the frozen margheritas. I drown my enchilada and burrito with their red salsa and it is absolutely delicious!!! Add quac, tomatoes, and lettuce to the meal and oh oh oh so so tasty!!!!If you want a budget friendly meal, fast, delicious, and with excellent customer service I highly recommend La Parrilla Mexican Grill!!!! You will not be disappointed!!!“
“Always good! Only complaint is some of the booths are too small imo for 4 adults to sit at. The food tastes great, and the service is always pretty good. Will continue to go for sure. I had the spicy burrito. Asked for no shrimp due to an allergy, and asked for all chicken. Turned out amazing!! Margaritas are good, and they offer TO GO containers for any margarita left over you didn't drink. They also offer TO GO margaritas! My wife loved that.Dietary restrictions: Substituted chicken in the place of shrimp due to an allergy and in the place of steak due to me not consuming red meat. I had no reaction and the food came out perfect!Kid-friendliness: Had high chair option for my 2 year old. Worked as it should. Food options for kids are great! From chicken strips and fries to pizza.“
“Great place for a vegan burrito or chimichanga. It shares the same building as a gas station but don't let that fool you because this place is top notch! The staff is always nice and they are quick with your orders. Try to go every week and I travel from Virginia Beach.Vegetarian options: Veggie burrito or chimichanga. Can add vegan sour cream and cheese as well.“
“Food was good, and their al pastor is the best I've had on the east coast, and their Aguas frescas were really good.Just a warning the place is a hole in the wall and the atmosphere is not your typical "las palmas" vibe, so if you are looking for that generic mexican restaurant feel look elsewhere. Also the staff when I was there did not speak English, but I got by with the very basic Spanish I know. I will agree with other comments stating the music was a little too loud.“
“The food was Amazing. My wife Chicharrones and they were Beyond good. My seafood soup was very good as well. The waitress was very nice and helpful with our order. The eating area needed a little cleaning up but it was very busy. I wish I knew about this place years ago.“
“I love their food! My kids love their food too. Very Aunthentic and delicious!!Vegetarian options: Rice and beans, Guacamole. Pico de Gallo.Kid-friendliness: I have always felt welcome with my kids. I also always see kids around. I have never seen any issues with kids, and the ways tables are set up help manage privacy and to keep kids focus.“
“I'm a sucker for good food and drinks. The coconut margarita hit the spot, but the birria tacos were not a hit. Everyone else enjoyed their food, so maybe it's just me. The chips are always fresh and the salsa is amazing. We will be coming back! The atmosphere is good and the staff are super attentive.Plenty of parking in the shared shopping center parking lot.Remember, drinking 3 margs and driving home is never a good idea. Plan ahead. ?“
