Mexican Restaurants near Gloucester

“My husband and I actually prefer Los Portales in comparison to Juan’s. However tonight was awkward, because after TWO bites into my delicious steak fajita taco salad we were splashed by the busser who was NOISILY bussing the booth to my left (and before that, noisily bussing the booth behind my husband). She apologized, but it was too late—I was grossed out and went in search for the manager while wiping my face and arm. Long story short—we were offered another meal, but just too grossed out to stay and eat. Our waitress was so apologetic and would not take a tip. We do like the food, but it will be a while before we return. Noisily bussing tables using a bussing cart next to patrons who are eating is a very unpleasant distraction and just tacky, PERIOD!“

“I like Mexican food and Mexican restaurants. At the entrance they had posted two specials. I choose the chicken, steak, shrimp and scallop fajitas. I received very nice chips and salsa upon sitting down and received my sizzling meal in less than ten minutes. The sizzling plate was very impressive and generous; grilled onions, peppers, chicken, steak and shrimp covered with scallops. Also two side dishes with tortillas, rice, beans and salad. This is among the best meals I have ever had in a restaurant.“

“They did have to make the food for my kids twice but they were super busy at the time and my kids are picky and have to special order everything. Personally I don't like the special ordering of stuff but at the end of the day I am buying this from you so I should be able to get it the way I want it especially if I am willing to pay the up charges to make changes. But this is now my local Taco Bell and it is a good one, the food is good and the service is good considering the decline in fast food service you find nowadays this taco bell has great service lol. But alas it is just a taco bell when you want that fake Mexican food that isn't anything like Mexican food but you just want something in a crunchy shell or a flour wrap it is a good option.“

“I asked if my burrito that I was eating in the restaurant could be cut in half. I was told the manager didn't allow it, they have knives in the dining area, you can cut it yourself. Really! You've been at the Gloucester Va location less than 2 months with a rating of 2.6 on Facebook and 3.6 on Google. There are many restaurants to choose from , one would think that you would want Raving Fans.“

“I ordered 12 hot wings tonight . Six Mango Habenreo and 6 sweet barbque when my waitress brought out my order there was 16. It turns out that on Thursday you have a special of 16 wings for $ 8.00. The wings were delicious , especially the mango habenreo. I posted on Facebook that you guys have the best wings in Gloucester County. I will see you again next week“

“Great dinner and company. The dining room was pleasantly clean and the ambient music not overbearing as some places are. The staff was helpful and made a great suggestion of something to try based on what else we ordered, showing attention to the customer at hand, not a generic 'try this new menu item'. Very pleased. I don't eat out often and am generally disappointed, not tonight!!!“
