“My first time here I ordered the arroz con pollo and the dos tacos. I also got order of chips and with both salsa and white sauce. Everything tasted really good, even the salsa with the chips. The tacos also came with rice and beans that were also flavorful. The meat portion in the tacos was generous. I also like the arroz con pollo dish also came with veggies. I’ve been to other places where the dish was only chicken, rice and cheese sauce.“

“I ordered the famous chiles rellenos ($12.99) to go for dinner which consisted of 2 poblano peppers stuffed with cheese and rice and beans on the side. They were delicious. Plus, I was given chips and homeade salsa with my to go order which I did not expect. I loved the garlicky salsa and the chips were very fresh. This is the best Mexican food I've had in Newport News, VA.Vegetarian options: Various vegetarian lunch menu dishes and dinner menu items. I'm not a vegetarian, but the first time I eat anywhere I prefer vegetarian options. I feel if you can't do veggies right, there might be problems. Chichuahua's food is VERY good. I look forward to going back.“
“I have tried nearly every Mexican restaurant in the area, in hopes of finding a good, crunchy Chimichanga ... this place is the winner for best Chimichanga! I also love the Tomatillo sauce for dipping ... fantastic! However, having said that my last experience was not so pleasant. Our server was not attentive at all .... AGAIN!. And were not offered free refills after returning with our checks. We were not even asked how the food was. The place was not crowded, so this should not have been an issue. I'm very disappointed in the customer service.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian offerings!Wheelchair accessibility: Parking is convenient and maneuverability is good.“
“Best place ever! Me and the hubby come here once a week and have never had a bad experience. The staff is super friendly, food is delicious, and prices are great. Last night I tried the Oaxaca bowl for the first time and I’m in love! If I could give 10 stars I would.“
“My FAVORITE Taco Tuesday spot! My friend and I have been enjoying our Tuesday evenings at Guapo’s the last month or so and it’s our favorite day of the week! The food is so fresh, service is always great and friendly, and the Michelada’s are my new obsession! So tasty and refreshing! So excited to have found Guapo’s! “La Fiesta is my new "go to" for Mexican Food. I had the aroze con camarone and a tamale but all the dishes I saw looked wonderful! The top shelf margarita was great as well. The staff were attentive and very welcoming. I can't wait to go back! Thank you for a great experience!“
“I have to say the nice lady that took my order over the phone earlier she answered my question and my order was exactly how I wanted it and she was really nice even when I came to pick up my order , the food tasted great ! I’ll be coming back to this location just based off the staff , I have one in my city and I rather drive 30 minutes away just because of the staff ! Keep up the great work“
“Hands down best Mexican restaurant I've been to since moving to Virginia. I grew up in California and often crossed the border to spend time with family and eat over there and this spot is so far the closest you'll get to authentic Mexican food. I ordered Menudo, which is imo really challenging to make here because of the limited availability of ingredients, and they nailed it! Will be coming back soon :DParking: parking is hard because it's shared with a convenient store, but you'll manage to find one on the side or the back (as long as you don't block entry)“
“We heard about Juan’s through Atley Wiese Racing and decided to check it out last Saturday. If you haven’t had the chance to try them, you sure are missing out! The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. I will definitely be recommending Juan’s to everyone I know!“
“As a fan of Mexican food, this place is very reliable. Their tacos are great, tamales a little dry but good. Margaritas are amazing and they really do pack a punch, and their beers are ice cold. Service is good, and at night on weekends they play loud music which I loved. Great atmosphere.Parking: Free parking garage or if you’re lucky right outside on the streetKid-friendliness: Little ones love the music“
“Food and service was good. Seems really empty for the time we ate here. I would argue its tastes better than 80% of the Mexican places in Newport News. Seems to do more take out than dining in. Parking is annoying though. I hope this place lasts.“

“Went with a friend for lunch today. I had the birria tacos and he had a torta al pastor. The server didn't seem to speak English but we managed. The birria tacos were absolutely amazing and I can't wait to go back. Unfortunately my buddy believes he received carne asada in his torta vs the al pastor he asked for.“
“We came around lunch time on a weekday, and it wasn't busy. As you walk you are welcomed by the pretty decor. I love the colors! Got seated at our tables and was instantly greeted by a waitress. They serve chips and salsa with a guacamole sauce. I don't recommend the sauce. And it took a little while for the food to come out but when it did, I was delighted!“

Was better before remodeling that took place during 2023.Wheelchair accessibility: Driveway is VERY steep and falls to offer pedestrians or wheelchair users room to stay clear of auto traffic entering from busy highway. No walkway connection between public sidewalk and location's entrances.“
