Absolutely terrible. With the glut of Mexican restaurants in Newport News this place doesn't stand a chance. Staff was lukewarm at best, food very mediocre, and the prices were outrageous. Good luck.

La Parrilla Mexican Grill is a large place with plenty of seating and an adorable outdoor seating area. The food is absolutely delicious and tasty, with the speedy Gonzales, lunch chimichangas, enchiladas blancos, and the Burrito Chipotle with pork. The rice is on-point, the salsa and chips are fresh, and the spicy salsa can be asked for instead of the Virginia white sauce. Service is quick, spot-on and friendly, often the fastest service ever received, and the staff is friendly and always on point. The ambiance is good for watch sports at the bar, and the michelada is magnificently huge. Portion sizes are nice and the prices are appropriate for what you get. They recommend this place as one of the best Mexican in the Newport News/Hampton area and a solid 5 star rating.
