“We stumbled across this bakery by accident on a staycation and were completely taken aback by the quality of the items we purchased, as well as how wonderful the two owners were. I ordered the seaside on the walnut and blue cheese sourdough, and it was a truly a phenomenal food experience. Not only was the sourdough incredibly fresh, it had a wonderful combination of flavors and would be reason enough in of itself for us to return to Cape Charles. Not only to explore all of the different varieties of delicious and fresh baked sourdoughs (amongst other items), but also to support a new local business with an exceptional product.“
“I was in this AM to get breakfast and a coffee. The restaurant was really busy and the staff was doing their best. Unfortunately, a lady , who didn't think she should wait, started yelling at a young gentleman working the counter. I don't think I've ever seen a more unreasonable, entitled crab in my life. Hats off to the staff who calmly handled her tantrum. If the staff reads this, remember, people like this do not matter.“
“Cape Charles is a charming town located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. We enjoy dining at the Cape Charles Coffee Shop located in downtown Cape Charles. The shop takes one back in time. The shop was originally a store. The decor and ceiling are worth the stop. The food is creative, and we enjoy the variety. They serve breakfast or lunch. Personally I love the Americano and bagels with salmon and capers.“
“When traveling, my wife likes to check out local book stores and we happened to be in Virginia Beach visiting our daughter. What a great book store this turned out to be! From the outside, it appeared to be a conversion of a former gas station and once inside, you could appreciate all the work that went in to the conversion. We both remarked about the curated book selection available-there seemed to be something for everyone. All 3 of us walked out with books. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area!“
