Family Restaurants in Cape Charles, VA

“Normally when we order from Salt & Sand our food is very good when we dine in. However I called in tonights order and not so much I ordered the hamburger steak medium with no onions, it was well done and the bottom was burnt, so I called they said bring it back out here and we will give you another one so I did. I took the tray out there which had the rest of my dinner in it my mashed potatoes & my turnip greens, when I got back home and opened the container it was only hamburger steak also well done smothered in gravy & onions which I didn’t want from the start!! Not to mention where did my greens and potatoes go?? IDK 🤷🏻‍♀️“

“The owner and his family knows me and my family. We go a ways back. Good people and this place is semi busy. This spot is right on the corner as you’re entering Cape Charles.

This spot with the food counter reminds of back in the day when the pharmacy use to be at another location and it also had this same set up.

The food is good and service that as well. The pharmacy is accurate, professional, and kind.“
