I’ve had the pleasure of eating at the Bakery on Mason a few times over the years now. Though I can honestly say I dislike their hours of operations, but that’s only because I want them to be available more often. Being able to only eat here once or twice a week is simply not enough. I can’t think of a single thing they’ve served that can’t be described as “sublime”, “mouth watering”, or “perfection”.To the chef/staff, please keep up the good work.

Highly recommend! Super nice owners and staff &, of course, excellent pastries and bread. We got the cruffins, lemon strawberry danishes, and rosemary bread - all so good. Make sure to get there early for the goodies.

Wonderful French bakery! Baker/Owner Louise was so very helpful and sweet to us! My friend said the French toast with Chocolate is the best thing she's ever put in her mouth! Also got Cruffin with lemon cream and cinnamon sugar. We have to go back and try everything!

We had blueberry muffins today and they were delicious—melt in your mouth and make you say “wow!” delicious. Everything here is consistently exceptionally good, because the owners really know the art of baking and have passed on that passion and knowledge to their staff. They use the best ingredients and don’t take any shortcuts and you can taste the difference. We have a world-class bakery in Cape Charles!

I placed a custom order for breakfast treats for the morning of our wedding and was so pleased at how everything turned out! I was able to place my order, pay online, and delegate picking the order up very easily through email, and the results were delicious! I will definitely keep visiting Bakery on Mason in the future. Love, love, LOVE this bakery!! If you happen to be there on pizza day you are in for a REAL treat. Sandwiches are made to order and the dressing on the Cape Charles is to die for! And any of the baked goods are more than worth the calories!

The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because what we did get was delicious. We come to Cape Charles once a year as a family of 7. We get sandwiches and go to the beach. It is tradition for us. This year our sandwiches were extremely small. There have been times in the past we could split a sandwich. Today they were so small. Little bits of arugula and ham. I was highly disappointed. Also, the girls that were working were not very friendly. I hope this bakery brings it back around because Today was very disappointing.

As good as it gets for breakfast and lunch. Made from scratch every morning. The baguettes remind me of the ones you’ll find in Paris. My wife and I have taken a few trips to Cape Charles and every time we have to go to The Bakery on Mason.
I really like the options that were available and I'm just so thankful that they were open on memorial day since everything else was closed. The cashier was real friendly and I just enjoyed her. I really really love the ham and cheese croissant. If they added a little more cheese and a lot more ham that place would be sold out every morning by 10 AM! I do wish the sandwich was warm but this is my first time ever having a French style breakfast. If they had more simple breakfast sandwiches they would be millionaires. The sandwich options seemed more like lunch at 8:30 in the morning. Im still in love with that buttery flaky croissant! There is love in that chef!! Thank you

We love this bakery for its bread and sandwiches. On our first visit, I got a ham and butter baguette, and yum! How can something so simple be so good?! Others with us got various pastries and were really happy. We went back another time and got the tuna sandwich, which was really good! It's not your typical mayonnaise-based tuna salad sandwich; the mix was more Mediterranean with olives, arugula, lemon...so good! I want to have that sandwich right now and I'm not a big canned tuna fan. We also bought a baguette to bring home. Bread is one of the strengths of this bakery, which is one of my weaknesses.

A fun and quaint little bakery in downtown Cape Charles! Located on the downtown's Main Street, we were here over the summer. We noticed that their hours did not align with what was posted online, so make sure you do sufficient research before visiting. When we visited, the line was quite literally wrapped outside and down the street. We came near closing time just to snag a quick treat (but had nothing specific in mind) so thankfully the line wasn't super long. We had lots of friendly dogs to pet nearby the outdoor tables! The inside is snug and cozy, with a grab-and-go table of seemingly popular baguettes and a small ordering counter with pastries behind the glass. They also carry a standard coffee menu, so it's a great spot to grab a drink and treat as you merrily explore the area. The pastries were delicious, flaky and very worth the wait. Stop by this charming local business!

I finally made it in to try out Bakery on Mason. They had a fantastic Turkey sandwich the day I went. The flavors went so good with each other. They also had a scrumptious blueberry muffin. They had so many delicious looking items. I hope to get another chance to visit them again soon. There is a few bistro style tables outside to sit at and enjoy your food. Service... the best. They were so nice inside. They were all the sweetest.
