The Jack Spot closed last year. It has been replaced by the Sunset Beach Bar and Grill. Please come see us!

Been here a few times passing by. Every time the bar service is excellent, drinks are perfect and the food is good. Drinks are very good and staff is always friendly, smiling and very serve. Such a great place to go on the water! Great job guys!

They were doing some kind of work in the deck area. The food area didn't look open until later in the day. I basically went for the beach. It was clean, which is nice.

Two stars for the view and was thankful for the shade. I will not be eating here again, the food is so ridiculously overpriced it's almost comical. The fish tacos, for $21 are fish sticks cut up on a tortilla, they're clearly not even trying. The burger was okay for a frozen beef patty but the fries were laughable, no seasoning at all, limp and flavorless. The drinks were all over the place, some so strong they were undrinkable, some you were wondering if they put alcohol in at all. The campground is very nice, it does get super crowded but avoid this place unless you're just checking out the view.

Fabulous view and fabulous location. Food was not priced appropriately and was waaaayyy overpriced. Taste was OK but it was just frozen food that they heated up. Paid $48 for 2 meals (cheeseburger and cheesesteak) and 2. Sodas. Again, just frozen fries and cheesesteak was steak um with a little peppers and onions on a hot dog roll. Nothing special at all. Served in Styrofoam take out containers. Guy who took our orders was not attentive and did not give me my change. He kept ignoring me while I was ordering and talking to a lady. Very disappointed!

Great views with lots of potential however restaurant was a ghost town. It's self serve with $$$ prices for basic low cost food truck items served in styrofoam containers. It could bring in alot more income if they had reasonable prices or full service. It's under new management in 2022 and most of the 5 star reviews were from previous years when food was better and cheaper. I think this restaurant will be a complete failure unless something changes.

Overpriced drinks, food served in styrofoam containers... outside tables covered with sand and not cleaned. No outside staff.... inside staff was not very personable... bartender sucked.... won't go back!!! $49 for 2 drinks and crab dip....I can make a better Orange crush than they did and I use fresh juice oranges....do yourself a favor...drink the beer!!!

High prices and low quality. You do not get what you pay for here. This place has limitless potential. However, you should stay away from this spot.

Stopped by solo on a Monday early evening. No frills or thrills expectations for one drink. Ordered mix drink can’t complain for a tourist stop but could been appreciative since only three others appeared to be employees, without a doubt felt of a place to spend my money and rather make my own drinks. But who knew the bartender was meh and couldn’t answer simple question the draft rotation especially the ABV for a local brewery in Cape Town. I thought it was just off when said to Google it if you want to know that information from a bartender. Anyways we all have a meh day guess it was that. Nice views if you want before and seems place has good variety of food.

Such a shame... have been coming to the Cape Charles KOA for several years and Jackspot was always a favorite. Not so much anymore. Under its new management the food and drinks are stupid expensive. Last year we probably spent $500 there in a week... this year, zippy. The entire week the restaurant deck was empty, obviously others share my view. Saw lots of people walk up to the menu board and shake their heads and walk away. The food that I did see served was in take out containers. I'll be damned if I'm paying $25 for a salad avd eating it at their table out of a styrofoam take out box. In the past they would have servers on the beach, not now. If they delivered to the RV sites or hotel rooms I bet runners would make bank on tips. Sad to see such an institution got to crap in one year.

Prices were pretty high but the food was delicious! My husband ordered a Caesar salad with chicken and I ordered a garden salad with chicken. The salads were LARGE with a great selection of veggies in the garden salad - and the chicken was delicious. Also ordered a strawberry mojito and it was very good. $23 for a salad with chicken added but definitely kept me full and was very good.

Beautiful location, decor, furniture. Food average. Perfectly acceptable average. Not bad, just average. Would definitely eat it again. However, if you're going to heat up frozen food just charge appropriately. As others have mentioned. . . . Frozen hamburger patty, basic bun, slice of tomato and onion. . . $17. Happy to even overpay @ $12 without complaining. But it's a $7-$9 hamburger all day long, not $17 - so you just start off on the wrong foot.Kids chicken tenders. Again, perfectly acceptable frozen food. 2 chicken tenders and a large scoop of shoe string fries. Even the child commented on the portion size both then, again the next day. I think "2" just looks pretty meager. 3 is probably perfect, and 4-5 is more typical. I'm not advocating to over eat, or to throw food away, so just try to move out of the area of meager and overpriced. What they lack in marketing, they are trying to make up by over charging. Sell to your strengths. The view and the nice facility. Then market the hell out of it. Have delighted patrons paying checks that are much higher because they buy more and feel good about it.I would be THRILLED to plan to eat more meals in that particular restaurant while camping - but the price gouging makes it too easy to avoid. My 3 minute walk to my camper for a grass fed filet dinner is half the cost of the frozen burger and 2x as good to eat. Not even a close decision.Avoid taking actions that leave patrons feeling cheated and begrudgingly paying the price because there is no alternative. There is another way.

Was one of the reasons I picked this campground. But apparently there is a new owner. No more alcohol and the price of the food is outrageously overpriced. You don’t even have a server. You walk in order your food and wait on yourself. For these prices that’s unacceptable. We have been here 4 days and spent a decent amount of time on the beach. The restaurant was a ghost town. I doubt it will be around with the current prices for very long. I’d like to just see KOA but it and make it more reasonable.

Would not recommend. The man working didn't greet us, didn't smile, nor acknowledge us. We didn't know how to order or anything. To top it off the food was outrageously expensive. If the quality was worth the price it would be one thing. I'm giving two stars because it was hot and fresh but tasted like fried from frozen food. Subpar. $10 meals not $20 meals. For three of us and an appetizer it was over $100. That's for calamari, two shrimp baskets that came with fries and a salad with chicken.

Very misleading photos. I wish I had sorted these reviews by most recent! I don't usually post negative reviews, but people need to know.My crab cake sandwich did have good flavor, but was so thin it was lost in the bread. Was not very filling. Definitely not worth >$20 that it was. Did not get what we paid for; felt ripped off.Disappointed we chose this for our last Cape Charles meal on our way out. Will not be returning here on our next Eastern Shores visit.
