My friends and I went to the oyster farm for dinner on our weekend trip to Cape Charles. We had a reservation and were sat in the bar area. Our server was super nice and friendly but she was bartending at the same time, so she had a lot going on. We put in an order for calamari, and it never came. Our food finally came out- I got the rockfish special with hollandaise sauce - it was fine- but not the greatest for the price. My friends got the scallops with lobster risotto and it looked like a starter- I would’ve been starving. Our server was lovely and comped dessert for us- we got the brownie Sunday and crème brûlée. The brownie Sunday was amazing!

The views of the Chesapeake Bay from the restaurant are breathtaking, especially in the evening around sunset. Great menu, lots of options, especially fresh seafood. The fresh local raw oysters were wonderful, and the Eastern Shore Virginia style Clam Chowder was delicious. Highly recommend dining at this restaurant!Parking: Plenty of free parking available in a parking lot at the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible from the parking lot, with ramps, etc.

Best oysters you will have. We ordered two dozen of them and a small side dish.Kid-friendliness: When we went kids were there. They have kids menu and there is enough to look around for the kids to enjoy.

Food was excellent, great size portions for the cost. Mike was an excellent server, very personable, informative of specials, and accommodating! He is very experienced and knowledgeable of Cape Charles and surrounding areas. He made our experience a great one.

I have enjoyed the oyster farm on several occasions for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Service has been good as well as the food.

We made a large reservation following a family funeral and the restaurant wonderfully accommodated our large party. Our server was fantastic. I ordered the She Crab soup and the wedge salad. The soup came out nice and hot and was more of a chowder. It was delicious. The wedge salad was huge!

Gorgeous SceneryThe Oyster Seafood Eatery was truly a lovely dining experience. The vibe inside the establishment was very classy but yet has a nice marina feel to it. The food was also decent, a bit high-priced but the atmosphere makes up for it.

Good atmosphere. The best Oyster Rockefeller I've tasted. Friendly staff. I didn't care for the chicken pot pie but it was returned with no questions. I would definitely return.

Fresh flounder was delicious , pecan crusted salmon was delicious . I wanted to order a desert but my waitress was too busy visiting someone who came into the restaurant. She did not know if the salmon was wild caught or didn’t know what the fresh caught flounder was served with. She was not real friendly .

Reservations seem to be the way to go, honestly the ribeye I had was subpar very very fatty and way overpriced at a whopping $52 for a 14oz ribeye. My wife enjoyed her fried oysters though. Coke was flat as could be and service was pretty good for the most part, could’ve been better for the 5 other tables that were sat.Prolly won’t go back as we’re visiting from Charleston.Fried oyster platter, 14oz ribeye plate, and 4 cokes was $140 after a tip. Pricey to say the least.

We went on a busy night and apparently the kitchen was at full capacity and it seemed they were short staffed. We had 6:30 reservations and were not seated until 6:50. When we got to our table, the hostess told us that we could order drinks but would have to wait a while to order food. I’ve never been to a restaurant that has said that before. When we finally got our food at close to 7:30, it was good but not amazing. The sunset was amazing which we had to walk outside to see! We had a great waitress. This was our first time ever at Cape Charles and at this restaurant. We probably will not be visiting to eat there again.

We went to the oyster farm over Labor Day weekend, sat out on the deck which was nice and got to see the fireworks, so that was a bonus. So first off we called ahead and they would not take a reservation but we were told to come and there should be a table available. When we got there obviously they do take reservations because that was the first thing they asked when we showed up and we had to wait a bit for a table to open up. Second we ordered some mixed drinks and all of them were extremely watered down and not good at all. They did take them back and had to order beer instead. The food was mediocre at best especially for how much it cost. I would not recommend this place at all. It might have just been because of the holiday weekend, but that truthfully isn’t an excuse that should fly. Two thumbs down!!!!

The food is expensive and you get a small portion of the actual food you order. The basket came with a handful of fried oysters and like a pound of fries. The cup and bowl sizes are misleading, I saw no difference. The place overall looked good, nice area.
