I never had such a bad experience of my life I ordered the vegetarian food ( vegetarian fajitas) as I’m pure vegetarian but I found a chicken peace but the waiter and staff was not accepting even I show them , they was like it’s mushrooms or zucchini what the hell please every one must check before you eat

Shrimp chimichangas were good. Worst rice and beans ive ever had.lighting was harsh in areas with overly bright/white led bulbs in some fixtures. One tv was dying/flickering. Parking lot is very dark at night.

We have not tried this place before because they went through a period of being open and closed, but this place is phenomenal. Hands down this is the best Mexican food in Roanoke. Everything was super fresh and delicious! Margarita on the rocks was outstanding also!

Not impressed with today's lunch However I will say service was fine. Chips were stale. We were there at 1130, so I would think a fresh batch for today would be served. Instead it tasted like day old - very stale. Ordered the fajitas. For the price, wasnt that good. Just a a lot of small pieces of chicken. Usually with chicken Fajitas there are green peppers and onions. Very little green peppers and onion. Not very flavorful. The tortilla wraps were so flimsy and thin, I couldn't pick it up to eat when I added even a small amount of chicken mixture. They also tasted old. I would hope that this restaurant made fresh each day, but I dont think they were fresh. And I love chicken Fajitas-- my go to dish at Mexican restaurants. This is not a repeater for me. Addendum added several hours later after getting home. I have had a stomach ache today after eating here.

Their food is almost as good as el rodeo on brambleton. My only complaint is they are a bit slow on my refills, some of us are there to day drink on a budget, but maybe im just a pendejo

Great place to host a birthday party! They have a room on the side of the main dining area.Fantastic service! Best ACP I’ve ever had. Staff was wonderful even Sung happy birthday.🎉. Prices were really good too. Definitely going back.
Service is very quick with loving and friendly staff always around too refill drinks and chips. Staff also has amazing personality with each worker working not just for a paycheck but for the betterment of the restaurant. My family and I personally come atleast three to four times a month if not more and each trip we take we are pleasantly delighted and reminded why we love this place so much. The food portions are large for the cheap price it comes with not only is it large but also beyond delicious with every bite you take no matter what you pick on the vast menu you are greeted with quality ingredients and a flavorful experience like no other. Every-time you enter the restaurant you are greeted with great music and family like care. This restaurant far exceeds any other Mexican Restaurant in Roanoke and is very deserving of your visit.

I had an amazing experience at El Mezcal. The food came out hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. Every bite tasted like it was made with care and attention to detail. As someone who lives along the border with Mexico and is used to eating authentic Mexican food regularly, I can honestly say El Mezcal exceeded my expectations. The flavors were rich and traditional. It’s clear they take pride in their cooking, and it truly shows. I’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommended for anyone craving real Mexican food done right!

Both times we have come here , the waiter looks bored and uninterested in getting the food orders correct , last time he didnt even bring the beer I ordered , this time beer came , food is always good just the wait staff is not very good .
