The food almost ok,bad service and overpriced (paid 5 dollars for a taco) i count the meat pcs in the taco there was only 10 little chunks less that a 1/4 of inch in size and also I order a menudo soup and I have to fish in the bowl to find the meat (portions not proportional to price)

I don't understand why people like Tacos Rojas so much I think it's a lack of options. The fajita nachos were bad, the regular steak burrito is literally just dry steak in a tortilla by itself and messed up my stomach for hours. It's so easy to just go to a good alternative like Pueblo Chico it's better food and value, but they're closed on Mondays so you're stuck with this. I figured I'd give them a try since I've had good experiences with the location downtown but this Keagy road location seems to be behind the curve.

Visiting from out of town and the in-laws brought us here. Wow…..amazing food and HUGE portions. I had the asada torta and it tasted exactly like the tortas I had in Mexico. My kids got the burrito and it came out decorated like the Mexican flag. Salsa was fresh. Definitely coming back more hungry the next time we’re in town.

Food was decent. Only one worker. No chips and salsa- I feel like that is a Mexican restaurant tradition.

We are somewhat new to town and love Mexican food so have tried about five different Mexican restaurants in Roanoke. This one was disappointing. We always order cheese dip, and here, it is $7.99 for a small lukewarm bowl of it, plus you have to pay for chips, (which tasted a bit stale) and Salsa (good). My entrée of one chicken enchilada, one beef, enchilada, beans, and rice was very mediocre. Not bad tasting, but nothing at all special about it, which was odd, because I had the same thing at another location of Tacos Rojas near Black dog Salvage, and it was much tastier – like a real chef was in the kitchen putting specialty Homemade twists on all parts of the meal. The presentation was lackluster – plain food served on a plain white plate could easily have a wedge of lime or tomato slice, or the beans served on a lettuce leaf, or just something for a little effort. The restaurant appeared very clean and had a beautiful view of a meadow, and there was a nice patio for outdoor seating. There are better places to go get Mexican food for a better price and better overall value. Pueblo Chico is one of them!
A friend called this place TacoRipoff but I had to try it anyway. We had to pay $12 for chips salsa and queso. Normally it’s half that. I asked the waitress why and she just shrugged her shoulders. The food had a Cisco taste and the Margarita was too sweet. Do yourself a favor and check out some other places in town for Mexican. We won’t be back.

Great burrito, great enchiladas and I will definitely always get my order with the beans and rice. This is the real deal Baja style Mexican cuisine. If I could ever stop ordering my favorites I'd probably discover that the rest of the menu is also an all star review. But the burrito or the enchiladas I haven't been able to pass up yet. Highly recommended.
One of the best Mexican restaurants in the area!
Service and kitchen staff were horrible. And order of chicken noodle soup too over 45 miniutes to scoop from the soup drumbeat to a container, yet to no avail i had to leave with out my order. I frequent all 3 surrounding this area and each time iv ever come here I made to feel as if im doing too much whilst just simply waiting for a prepaid order almost 45 miniutes past pickup time. This branch is a real embarrassment to the taco roja franchise especially the roanoke city location. Top notch. Love the place it only takes 1 baffled apple to ruin them all
A beautiful restaurant with fresh, amazing food. No matter what you order, it comes out splendid.
The chimichangas were amazing and filling, two with two sides for $15 and look at the burrito my friend got?
One of the best restaurants for tacos in Roanoke for sure! 🌮
