The 1lb of tenders with the Garlic soy sauce is the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. I have dreams about the chicken.

This places sells the best fried rice BUT they’ve changed the size of the bowl and now they barely give you anything. It’s literally 50% less for the same price. Not worth it and unfortunately not buying from here anymore

So the atmosphere was good very good lighting and music for a date. The service was great, there was only one person working all the tables and he did pretty good being attentive to all customers in the building. So why the three stars, the husband and I have been to most of the choongman chicken in the DMV area along with other Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) places and the food at this one didn't really strike a cord with us. First the pickled radish, didn't taste pickled (basis of this comes from tasting homemade and other Korean restaurant experiences) like they took it out too early. We had the KFC w/ the snow onion sauce and Tteokbokki with dumplings added (they did say they were trying something new with this item).. the chicken and sauce (definitely a lot of onions) itself didn't have flavor (never had that experience at any KFC place in the area), it was like maybe they forgot a step maybe. The tteokbokki tasted better than the chicken but still sub par to tteokbokki cooked fresh from Hmart or Lotte. Had the food been better I'd be willing to give abetter rating because it is a restaurant and food is their purpose.

Choong Man is better than Bonchon hands down! I love their garlic soy because they make it spicy and it's always so crispy! The ambience is so cute with twinkling lights on the ceiling. It has a darker interior for more intimate setting. Their chicken is just TOO GOOD!

I recently visited Choong Man Chicken and unfortunately had a disappointing encounter with the woman behind the register. Her attitude was nothing short of heartless and cold. Additionally, I noticed her hidden behind the counter, engrossed in her phone. This added layer of disregard for the customers' experience further soured my visit. She felt entitled to demand a 20% tip and even went so far as to arrogantly state, "we will add it anyways." This left me feeling upset and angry, overshadowing any positive aspects of the dining experience. Customer service matters, and the lack of empathy from this particular staff member left a bitter taste in my mouth.

First off these wings are huge! Not pictured but we also got the waffle fries which were really nice and crispy. The service was fast and friendly. The wings were crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. Would recommend. I was kinda disappointed they didn't have any drinks because they give you tap water but it's lukewarm and kinda tastes like sink water lol.other than that enjoyed my meal!

Today, I had the opportunity to try this place. The only good thing I can say about this place is the food. It tasted great, better than most chicken places but not particularly unique. The TV in the background was a lot louder than it needed to be for the size of this restaurant but that did not make or break it for me. What made this establishment unbearable was the piss poor to non-existent service followed by the expected tip as if it was a restaurant and not just a place where you order the food and eat it there or take out like Mezeh or Pokebowl. When we walked in, the employee (not waiter based on behavior/how flat her affect was) was sitting down, hidden behind the counter. We sat ourselves and she brought us water. We ordered our food, two lunch specials. When she brought us the food, it was missing the drinks which she never offered and the "pickled radish" that she offered as an option for both specials but never brought since she brought one before we even ordered. As we ate, she never checked on us and my wife and I honestly thought she was in the bathroom for an extended period since she was not readily visible. I ended getting up to see if there is still an employee still in the restaurant. Guess what? She was sitting down, out of sight, on her phone. When we finished, I asked my wife if this was a sit down service or fast casual to determine if this is place required tipping since it was not particularly obvious based on the interactions/our experience thus far. As I walked back to the counter, she again was sitting down, out of sight, on her phone. At this point, I am assuming it is not a tipping establishment since personable customer service/friendliness is not one of the things being offered. I paid our bill and the usual tipping screen popped up. I skipped over it and proceeded to walk away. She asked "no tip?" then asked "cash tip?" I stated no because again I am under the premise that this was fast casual. This was probably the only time I saw she was passionate about something. She proceeded to tell me that I can do "take out next time." Needless to say, I will not be back.

Oh my gosh what a great meal! Had this 2 nights ago but forgot to post. I was so hungry and had like 8 chicken legs. Service was decently quick and the ambiance was really nice. Had these nice Christmas lights set up. I loved the onion chicken dish (I'm blanking on the name) and the garlic soy. Fries were ok. Would recommend!
