Pork katsu is fried perfectly, it wasn't to heavy which is a sign of quality. The dipping sauce was prefect and paired well with their shaved radish/cabbage mix. Will definitely be back

Before trying this place, I must admit I was somewhat skeptical. However, upon trying their food, it greatly surpassed my expectations! The restaurant is pleasant, clean, and simple, yet the flavors are tasteful! It has become my go-to place for Japanese rice bowls! Their tempura is truly exceptional!!

Heavily underrated, had Gyudon and Pork Katsu, were both delicious and very immaculate. Also the owner is an absolute sweetheart!I wish this place well because Centreville needs a good Japanese eatery.
I’ve been to this restaurant the past two times and tried the Katsu Curry, Unagi Don, Salmon Poke, and Yakisoba. They. were. all. So. Good. ? highly highly recommend salmon poke. There’s more salmon than rice !! If you get this from anywhere else price would be $22+. It’s $15 here lol. In fact, everything on menu is $13-15 and the katsu curry at Genki izakaya is $20 or something but the one here tastes same if not better. The curry is Korean style and katsu is cooked perfectly crispy and fresh.
