We loved it! For the price, can't beat it. The lady that served us was so friendly. Love the LoFi music in the background. (Reminded me of PewDiePie's vlog videos in Japan bros.) The $1.50 nirigi pieces is an awesome value. Many options for curry and soups. My chirashi was great. The ginger was super fresh too, spicy almost! The I gotta mention the Miso soup!! It was honestly some of the best I've had. So aromatic and flavourful. Even my 5 year old wanted to finish the whole bowl. We'll definitely be back soon! ? ?

Vegetarian options: No raw fish sushi options

Kid-friendliness: Plenty to pick from

I'm a foodie, but honestly Takohachi is my favorite sushi restaurant! It's super affordable and delicious at the same time! ? So addicting tbh! You get what you pay for, so if you're bougie, don't be coming here ? I would stick with the nigri!

Egg is overcooked in the ramen. The sushi isn’t all that either. Everything is too overpriced for what it is. I’ve had authentic stuff before and this place isn’t it. You’re better off going to Arlington or Tyson’s for some real authentic food.

Came for the Miso and Tonkatsu, and got a spicy tuna roll for the kiddo.Spicy tuna roll was decent, but the tuna had a canned tuna consistency.Miso had a ton of paste left at the bottom, which made the entire thing extremely salty midway through.Tonkatsu had decent broth. Meat seemed to be pork loin, but it had an odd gray color, was not flavorful in any way, and was cold even after minutes in the broth.Price was acceptable for quality of food.

The moderate reviews tricked me. The fish quality is not good, the fish looks cut with a dull knife and torn, nigiri pressed by someone who's never done it, the Ramen and other prepared items very bland, etc. It seems more like a fast casual mall concept. Service was very nice and prompt, and food came quickly. Servers spoke Spanish to the kitchen and did not know Japanese or Korean.

This place is not good. The reviews are either fake or written by folks who do not know what sushi is. Scroll through them, they only talk about $1 nigiri being a good deal here...it's not.The sushi here is not fresh at all and looks nothing like the pictures that are presented. They give you tiny slabs of sushi with huge chunks of refrigerated rice....it's like eating at a 1 star all you can eat sushi buffet. The sushi here falls FAR below the quality of H Mart and Wegmans, and I would not recommend this place to even my worst enemy. If you think about going here, don't. Just go to H Mart instead. The sushi was so bad and discolored I had to spit out every piece because I was worried I'd get food poisoning. Stay away and don't trust those 5 star reviews saying $1 nigiri is good here...those pics are fake or they can no longer afford good quality fish. You know how new restaurants always have high quality ingredients during grand opening and later fall down hill? That's this.

I had a good experience last time I visited Takohachi Centreville, so I decided to bring some of my friends today so they can try it out for the first time. All of the sudden, I’m not allow to recommend any more restaurants :( The fish on the sushi was decent, but the rice was horrendous. It was hard to believe that the restaurant was even allowed to serve the food. The rice was completely overcooked and seasoned with too much vinegar, ruining the taste of the fish. My friend order the Uni ($2 instead of $1) and the Tamago (egg) sushi. The egg and uni had a discoloration, but the uni taste way off to the point it was hard to say it was safe to consume. There also is a auto gratuity for the service fee of 18% for a party of 4. The service wasn’t the problem, but it definitely could’ve been better such as asking if the food was okay..

I purposely went after lunch rush hour (2:00 PM) to avoid long waits…Our appetizers came out super quick but sushi took about one hour to come out. I wish they announced that they’re very under-staffed and that we have to wait long before we ordered. One table left efore their food came out but the server did not seem to be apologetic at all. Nigiri was just okay. For $1 per piece, I don’t think it’s that great of a deal since other items are overpriced. When we paid, no apologies or discounts, nothing at all. They definitely aren’t ready to run the business. I won’t return again, wasted a big chunk of my Sunday. If you have patience of Buddha, I guess it won’t hurt to try this place…

$1 nigiris! Pretty good for price, will stop by again. It was pretty busy during dinner time, had to wait a bit for order to come out as well. Seem to be low staff but understandable! The white tuna and salmon was super good!!

Saw the grand opening sign! They had wide variety of menu from sushi sashimi to bento and ramen. They have $1 nigiri special. I ordered spinach (which to me was too gingery). Had eel bowl, age dashi tofu and himachi jaw. All were delicious

My son and I loves to go around to different sushi places. So far we never went to the same place twice. But for sure we will going back to Takohachi again. I love their Shrimp Tempura, miso soup were loaded with Tofu. Their sushi prices are a lot cheaper than most sushi restaurants around even tho prices is not what we base to go back. I do believe with quality. Very fresh fishes for the sushi and sashimi. The server were very helpful and attentive. A great find and I can recommend this restaurant 100% for food quality, freshness and the prices are a lot cheaper than mostly sushi restaurant in Centreville.

I came here on a whim and didn't know that they had $1 a piece nigiri sushi, and it was fantastic!! I have had $1 sushi in the past and usually is just ok. This place has excellent quality of sushi for so cheap. The eel rice bowl for $5 was also splendid. Will be back for sure. If you are a big sushi fan, you have to come here. I think it's my new favorite sushi spot ?
