Love Chiboo bakery! Chelsea did my wedding macarons and I loved how they turned out! I've gone to this location a handful of times and they always have wonderful flavors to choose from. My personal favorites are the chocolate, lemon, and raspberry flavors!
I went here at a co-worker's recommendation and oh, my goodness, the macarons are delectable. I ordered a variety but my favorites were the coffee, the pistachio, and the rose. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I have visited Chiboo both at the shop and during the mid autumn festival in DC! Both experiences were amazing - I love closer to DC, so getting to the shop was difficult but it was worth the trek - I felt like I entered the promised land when I walked in! So many incredible flavors and designs to choose from, and I was able to cop a kaya jam while I was there!

Nothing beats a Chiboo Bakery macaron. This woman-owned business is led by the creative, kind Chelsea who makes everything from scratch, using only the freshest, high quality ingredients. She even reduces her own fruit for the filling- no fillers nor sugar bombs like most. And don’t get me started on her creative flavors and designs that you can’t get elsewhere. I am grateful they freeze well because one macaron satisfies but I can’t order every day. 😜

For what little hidden meaning there is to gleen from the bakery name, there seems to be hidden skills begging to be noticed in the form of macarons. The delicate french confections can be temperamental to store and make in temperate/humid climates; what sets Chiboo macarons apart is the chew with crispy outer texture and soft chewy interior. The texture is my favorite.
Macarons can be imbued with flavors anyone can imagine. So it's nice to see some creative flavors like banana flambe and earl gray tea. And the ideal of sneaking a dollop in jam of the flavor in the macaron filling is really original. However, I do wish the flavors are more pronounced as I taste mostly just sugar. I think major potential is there and I hope to see more interesting flavors to come (oh.... say like real lychee, popcorn, sour plum, liquorice, apple, or real bourbon).

Chiboo Bakery is an absolute gem in Herndon. Their macarons are some of the best I’ve had, with a great variety of flavors to choose from. My go-tos are pistachio, salted caramel, and especially honeydew, which is my current favorite. The macarons are always fresh, with a perfect texture and vibrant flavor. The staff has been super friendly on each visit I've had. They even offer custom macarons, which is a great for those having parties and events. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for a sweet treat.
