Kingston Cafe Dish

Kingston Cafe recently catered an event I had and they did an amazing job. I initially went to the Bethesda Farmers Market and found them to try the food. I tried the jerk pork, curry goat and curry chicken, along with other plantains, cabbage and rice and peas. The food was very good and I decided to book them that day.

On the day of the event and even the days leading up, communication was great with my questions being answered immediately. They were very easy to work with and plan a menu for. On the day of delivery and set up was professional and efficient. The food was a huge hit and they really added their special touches that made me and my guests customers for life. For our event we had oxtails, curry chicken, jerk chicken, curry goat, rice and peas, cabbage and plantain. There was nothing left at the end of the event. The food was a hit and the best Jamaican food I’ve had in the dmv since leaving New Jersey. It’s been hard to find good, authentic Jamaican food in northern Virginia but Kingston Cafe brings it. If you’re on the fence go and try it, you will not be disappointed.

Oxtails went crazy!! Kingston comes with the authentic Jamaican feel . We had some jerk chicken, delicious curry chicken, rice and peas and of course the oxtails were the highlight for me . Tender and flavorful.

The good was prefect for our gathering on Sunday. The Curried chicken and goat was delicious! So was the Jerk chicken and oxtail. The rice and peas and veggies were plentiful too, but honestly-the juices. The juice and lemonades that were had were refreshing and authentic, so thank you for sharing!

I hate to write a review like this after seeing all the wonderful reviews. I spent $30 today at the Arlington Farmers Market and the Jerk Chicken was dry and hard, the food was very low flavor. The carrots and cabbage were hard and not cooked and the oxtail was just mush with no meat and had a hair that looked like it was from an animal. After seeing these reviews Im hoping it was just an off day.

This family owned business is the go to for service, quality, and just plain ole fashioned traditional Jamaican hospitality. The food omg. It’s the best around all of the DMV. Full of flavor and cooked with love in every plate. Find them at local farmers markets in Burke. Bethesda. They also do catering. Which was such a great service we used recently.

Kingston Cafe donated Caribbean Jerk Chicken, Cabbage Stir Fry, and Coconut rice for the World Heritage Night at Marshall High School to represent Jamaica. The food was excellent and was a big hit with the Marshall High School Community. Thank you Kingston Cafe for your generous donation and support for the past few years. We really appreciate it!

We ordered catering from Kingston Cafe after discovering them at the Bethesda farmers market and were extremely happy with the entire experience. Great communication from the time of submitting the order through following up after the dinner to check in on everything. Damian made the ordering experience very easy and was considerate of our guests needs (including making sure at least one dish was kid friendly). On the day of they delivered the food promptly.

The food (stewed chicken, jerk chicken, Rasta pasta, plantains, and rice and peas) was all amazing. We will definitely order from Kingston cafe again in addition to popping in at the farmers market :)

First time trying oxtail at Bethesda farmers market. It was delicious, definitely recommend if you’re at the Bethesda farmers market.
