i've lived here most of my life and i honestly love the food at this place. i've never had a bad meal & i usually get the turkey avocado wrap with no tomatoes & extra chipotle mayo on the side to dip my tater tots in :) i don't know much about the drinks because i've never ordered from the bar here. the service is okay, they are short staffed but they do try their best. this area is really tricky to find people qualified to work there. most people in this area work high income jobs and there isn't a large group of people who are above 21 to be bartenders at this restaurant. the crowd is mainly middle age white people or sports fans who have been regulars for years. the restaurant itself is not really my vibe so i typically just call and order pick up and it's super easy, fast, and good. def recommend getting takeout from here!

The is a great local pub. (it's got that pub atmosphere for sure) Came here for dinner with my young son when mom was out of town for the weekend. He loved it! He got the kids burger and was pretty happy with it and wants to go back with the rest of the family.Decent beer selection (nothing crazy but options beyond macro lagers) plenty of food options, friendly staff. We will be back for sure!

Best neighborhood restaurant/bar! Love it. Food is excellent! The service is always courteous and friendly. Separation of restaurant from bar is minimal but works just fine. Not too loud at all. Enjoy with rowdy friends as well as family with kids.

This place is within walking distance of where we live, so it's super convenient! We planned on sitting outside on the patio to enjoy the nice weather. We were given the go ahead to bring our pup. However, the patio was dirty and littered with cigarette butts. (Not just a few, they were scattered everywhere) Sadly, I opted for my boyfriend to just get his food to go.I just found it dirty overall. Sweeping the patio or providing an ash tray could go a very long way. The food was just alright, the tater tots were the best part. Our server was fantastic and understanding! I would avoid this place personally, but even more so if you plan on bringing your pet with you.

It is very sad to see what the inn has become. It used to be good food, great atmosphere, and great service. It has taken a nose dive to say the least. The service is terrible, the food isn’t much better and it’s unfortunately somewhere I haven’t been to in years when I spent 7 years going to frequently. If there’s a big caps or nats game going on don’t bother the owner will block off all the bar tables for him and his friends to get blackout drunk and make fools of themselves. If you want a good experience in south riding go to social house. You can thank me later.

I have been a huge fan of South Riding Inn for the last 7 years. Up until my latest visit, I would have shouted 5-stars from the rooftops for this hidden gem! The food was always amazing and the service top-notch. However, my latest experience has put SRI on hold for me and my family. The food was mediocre at best and the service was sub-par. I understand there is a staffing shortage but there needs to be some serious changes if we are to think about returning.

I would regularly attend South Riding Inn to have a glass of wine and beer so I know some of the bartenders. Overall, the majority of the bartenders including Jen and the other ladies are amazing and very nice. I recently had an interaction with a bartender named Lorraine and her daughter. I witnessed them be rude and not very pleasant to several women guests who were at the bar. I understand that at times patrons can be interesting but I think they could have exhibited better customer service skills. In addition to the poor customer service, the restaurant could do a better job in maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant. Other than that, South Riding Inn is not a bad place and the other bartenders and servers are great.
