The service was warm and welcoming, and the owner/chef (?) even came out to chat with us about their birria con queso. Fast forward a week, and I was already back, ordering the birria con queso just like he described. Honestly the cheese really adds to it and elevated the dish. “First time seeing this place, but I knew what I wanted immediately. Loaded fresh birria tacos, the most satisfying in northern Virginia. Ask for hot sauce upgrades! I didn't dip these because they seem perfect as served. Get some tres leches to soothe the sizzle.“

“My brother and I tried La China Poblana Taqueria for the first time today. Having grown up in San Diego, we have been searching for an authentic, family restaurant experience for a long while since moving up the DC area. ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. Service was spot on. Food was on point. We can't recommend this place enough. The birria tacos and quesadilla were fantastic. My brother also tried their lingua and loved it. Also, their fresh guacamole... I haven't had guacamole this good since I left California 23 years ago.“
