We tried a muffin, crossiant, scone, Focaccia, and cake. Everything was outstanding, very talented bakers.

Ordered a birthday cake for my mothers 91st
Birthday party. I have never been so disappointed. The cake was pretty on the outside, but the cake was terrible. The staff was friendly and helpful. I paid $55.00 for a very dry tasteless cake. The only thing that had any taste was the diplomat cream I requested. I was told the angel food cake was very moist since they did not make yellow cake. I accepted that suggestion. The cake was not only very dry I’m mean brittle dry but it had no flavor whatsoever. The chocolate butter cream frosting was just as bland no taste. I didn’t say anything , but I didn’t have to. The people that attended the birthday party let me know secretly, and then my mother ask me the next day where did you get that cake? She said it was a beautiful thought but never ever go there again. This is a 91 year old woman who had made professional cakes for 30 years. I truly wanted to make her day special. Such a flop and a sincere disappointment that I actually paid $55.00 for this disaster. And yes everyone there at the party ask where it came from and said. “YOU WERE RIPPED OFF”

Phenomenal pastries for any occasion. Wonderful cakes, cupcakes, tarts, cookies and breads. I ordered a lovely cake and assorted pastries for a tea party at my house. They were perfect! I stop in any chance I get.

I tasted soap in the pastries I had so I’m turned off from this spot. Great customer service though
A classic Charlottesville bakery. Highly recommend a visit. The cakes are the go to cakes for the entire family’s birthdays. There is something for everyone here. If you can get there early that is the best time. My favorites are the lemon and chocolate chip cookies, princess cake, and the Albemarle cake. The eclairs and macarons are also “usuals.” The bakery has an excellent pick up and online ordering system as well. We are fortunate to have this bakery (and the owners) in our community.

Super grateful to ABC for accommodating to us and making a gender reveal cake for my wife and I. She absolutely loves the princess cake from here and helped us with either raspberries or blueberries.
Super grateful to them and it was obviously so tasty.

Amazing bakery for the area, I will absolutely stop by again while passing through for the bread and pastry. The drip coffee was okay. However the sitting setup could be more efficient, or they could just move the unused tables out of the way.

This is absolutely the best bakery in the area!! I highly recommend this place as the staff there are all very polite and friendly and all of their pastries and baked goods are delicious. Everything is also very reasonably priced. They have the best plain and chocolate croissants around and make awesome cookies, especially the black cadillac one it is the best of the best!

My brother ordered a cake for my birthday. It also happened to be Thanksgiving week and they were super busy. We had the Albemarle. It was beautifully decorated, so decadent and rich, but not overly sweet. Very friendly and fast customer service.

Nothing too notable. The sticky bun was made with croissant dough (good) but overbaked (bad). Bite into it and everything disintegrates and there's no pleasant chewiness but just flour flakes melting in your mouth. Focaccia is under baked and has no gluten development and very pale. Entremets were just okay

The selection at this bakery is always fantastic. I have been here numerous times, and have never been disappointed with my selections.
The prices are very reasonable - so much so that buying bread is cheaper than buying mass produced bread from the grocery store, and you get a much tastier and healthier bread.
Also, the service staff are always very friendly, and very patient with my decision paralysis when faced with such a wide selection of treats.
