So sad this place is closing down? I remembered going to this place when I was younger and absolutely love the food. I went today 10/04 and food was delicious! Will definitely continue to go until they close down.

Sad to hear that they are closing in December 2022. They have good beer, excellent pizza and subs. There is plenty of room for a large crowd but minimal parking near the storefront.

Fast pizza but holy salt. I’ve never tasted pizza this salty. Almost inedible it’s so bad. Ordered 2 larges and we could only eat 2 pieces between us. Never again unfortunately.

They have a satisfying Italian sub. The pizza pies are exceptional!

Dropped in here for a late lunch after a medical appointment at U of Va Hospital, which is nearby. The place was empty and a little dark, and the location is a bit dingy but I found the food to be quite good. We only had lunch, a hamburger and a sub and some chicken tenders, but what we had was excellent and served in a friendly and efficient manner. The prices were in the $12.00 to "$18.00 range for dinner They had home made pizza from several big ovens adjacent to the dining room. When I spotted grandma and her daughter doing the cooking, it made me wish I had the time and money to get something more substantial and "Italian". The menu is quite extensive and we tried th tiramisu and cannoli- both pre-fab, but good. The tiramisu was clearly frozen because it had ice crystals. The decor is nicely "neighborhood Italian" with the 'de rigeur' posters and photos of vintage Italy. When I first entered, though, my impression was that Robert Irvine of 'Restaurant Impossible' needed to visit and bring the place up to date. (It is off-putting fo0r me when the whole 'familia' sits in the dining room between rushes, and the kids are there doing their homework. It's a big dining room though, and could seat 60. Its decor peaked out in the late 70's, it seemed. The furniture consisted of bent metal and vinyl "banquet" chairs with matching tables, and a few booths in the back. The wall paper was awful. The doorway was rather ugly, plastered with various paper signs, including one sign that said the "bathrooms are not open". apparently this applied to street people and not customers. Parking is directly in front of the place, but beware when entering and leaving as the "parking lot" is one with the roadway and traffic whizzes by, All in all, I'd like to go back at a later hour, but the place "looked" like the food would be good. They had beer and wine.

Pizza was simple and I liked the sauce, the atmosphere was like an og pizza place which was pretty cool.

Always love to get their Antipasto Salad (enough for 6, as an app!) & incredible pizza! They never disappoint! Been going to Anna's since 1980!

I just moved to the Charlottesville area and my boyfriend took me here because I love pizza. He has been eating at Annas since it opened. I have met the owners, 2 lovely Italian sisters, and I have been introduced to Anna, one of the servers. The place is lovely. We sit in the back booth and have pizza once a week. He took me here on Valentine's Day and it was amazing. They use the freshest ingredients and the food is absolutely mouth watering. I recommend Annas for original Italian foods as well as great subs and pizza. Give them a shot. You won't be disappointed!

Super tasty family owned Italian restaurant. I totally recommend! I will be sure to come back soon. Their pizza is always great! Lots of other great options as well. Being only a couple of minutes from the uva corner, downtown, and the stadium, it couldn't be any better for before a game or concert.

One of the best Sicilian pizza’s I’ve ever had. Feels like an authentic Italian mom and pop restaurant with the decor and interior. Super friendly staff, too. :)
