Great ramen and dumplings in a very casual bar setting. They also have some great sake they make themselves. If not into sake they have a good selection of craft beer. We never miss when in the area.
This place has an awesome name with awesome vibes to match. The ramen is STELLAR. I tried the veggie ramen with mushroom broth and smoked tofu - I've never had better veg broth! It had just as much body and umami as the pork broth. Definitely marking this place down in case I find myself in Charlottesville again. Also, their merch designs are awesome! Won't be forgetting about this place with my new shirt to remind me.
I would have given five stars across the board best ramen I've ever had however upon coming in to dine there for the first time requested a booth on the side was told to wait while hostess checked with other staff and was seated at a Open table in the middle of the restaurant. I expect better service when I walk in to any establishment and was very disappointed with the seating. There was no reason that I was seated in the open part of the restaurant when I wanted the coziness...
