Staff (2 teenage looking girls) completely ignored any Covid protocols. They stayed on their phones the entire time we were there. We wore gloves to use the ice cream dispenser as directed by signage. When we went to the toppings bar they didn't even address us. There is an obvious sneeze guard so like any froyo place I asked if we needed to tell them our toppings for them to scoop. She just said to do it ourselves. How many people are putting their hands back there?? How many cross contaminated containers (think allergies)?? Not to mention how difficult it is to actually reach around. Floor was very sticky. Staff clearly couldn't care less about being there.

I was sent to Bloop from Hershey's corporate office... I had a special request for a very specific ice cream for a birthday boy and I was having lots of trouble finding it ANYWHERE. Judy from Hershey's assured me that Ryan at Bloop would take good care of me and he sure did!

First thing we noticed when we walked in was no employees nor customers in the shop were wearing a mask in this day and age. Overall, the ice cream was average nothing fancy which is fine. The problem was when we ordered a scoop of ice cream and only "ice melt" was remaining on the bottom of the drum. We requested for another scoop from another drum but they refused and insisted that they "had enough" before being served a sloppy, incomplete, and sad scoop of ice melt. We also noticed that there was much more room for improvement with the cleanliness/hygiene of the shop. We sat down at a table but there was still an unfinished strawberry smoothie left at an unoccupied table next to us. When we were done and bus our table the top of the trash container was very dirty with crumbs, sprinkles and dried ice cream.

This is a great family friendly ice cream shop in Charlottesville. The owners are very nice, great staff, and they have yogurt and ice cream choices.

Absolutely fantastic! Good quality ice cream that's not too expensive. They don't charge extra for toppings, which is a nice change from most other sweet treat shops.

This is conveniently located in the shopping area off of Route 29 outside of the University of Virginia/Charlottesville area, adjacent to the Costco. It is also across the way from the Regal Imax Theater, which is also nice after a movie and also a short walk from the Hyatt Place. Bloop had both ice cream, and self-serve frozen yogurt, which is what my kids chose. I did see one patron order a milkshake, and that looked very good. They price the treats by containers, not by weight, which is nice, so we loaded up. For two small cups, I think it ran me $8.50ish. While not a cheap deal, not outrageous and my kids enjoyed it.
