If you’re in Charlottesville, you have to stop at Bodo’s Bagels! We tried the egg salad with bacon on an onion bagel and the chicken (turkey) salad with cheese on a garlic bagel—both were delicious. The bagel flavors were spectacular and really brought everything together.
The salads themselves aren’t heavily seasoned, which I actually prefer—it lets you adjust the flavor exactly to your liking. Just a heads-up: during rush hour, the space can get pretty cramped with people waiting, but the staff keeps things moving fast and efficiently.
Local, tasty, and always worth the stop—Bodo’s lives up to the hype!

Bodo’s is the best. It’s been a part of every major family moment for the last 38 years of my life. It’s where my grandpa took me when we had special hang outs. It was my first real job outside my family’s restaurant and farm. It’s where I met my husband. We end up there every time somebody’s been in the hospital. And it’s where we go every time we need a delicious, quick, affordable meal. Which happens to be all the time :) My order has changed over the years. The bagels have not. Still as good as the first day I had them.
Jacob is wonderful. So is Scott. So are all the employees working there.
There are many places like this left. Reliably, good, affordable, and efficient local food spots. I’ll continue to support and value them (and the folks that work there), so they never disappear. <3

Love, love, love! Just the best bagels around at good prices with friendly staff and quick service. A must in C'Ville!
It is a must try for breakfast! I have gotten a pastrami on garlic bagel with mayo mustard lettuce tomato and provolone every morning for the past week and it’s still as good as the first time I had it.
