Apparently this place’s employees are celebrating the death of another human. You shouldn’t give your money to place who allows their employees to act this way. It’s not about left or right. It’s about humanity. What happened to the left? What happened to “bleeding heart liberals”? Y’all were supposed to care about everyone - yet you’re celebrating the death of father, son, and husband.

Stopped here for lunch and we were very pleased. Our food was delicious and our server was friendly and attentive. They have a full bar, beautiful ambiance, clean restrooms, outdoor seating, plenty of parking in the back of the restaurant.

While the bread and provided dips, cheesesteak rolls, and fried calamari--accompanied by a whiskey drink--that I ordered were decent, the female bartender who served me provided rather condescending service, inclusive of offering me a Coca-Cola for no apparent reason. My thought was that maybe she wanted the blue-collar, working-class Charlottesville clientele who were drinking and dining alongside me on this Sunday evening to feel more comfortable. If true, though, it only reaffirms that the bartender was being condescending with regards to her perception of my social standing in the C-ville community, which is especially insulting in consideration of my status as a University of Virginia, Charlottesville alumnus.
Not bad American bar fare at Burton's on Emmett/Rt. 29 overall, but in my humble opinion, the service could use a fair amount of improvement to qualify as a satisfactory mid-Atlantic eatery.

This is a very good place to meet for lunch. They have some outside tables in the shade or tables inside. They're very careful to ask about food allergies. The menu is quite varied. Take a look at it online before you go. We've never had a bad meal there.

One of the best meals of my entire life. Me, my wife, and mother all were blown away by how incredible everything tasted. And our waitress, Summer, gave exceptional service! Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We live about an hour away from Charlottesville, but I can confidently say we'll be making the trip for Burton's again real soon. I Highly recommend you do the same. It is 100% worth it.

I’ve been here several times and have always been pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere. However, during my most recent visit, I was very disappointed. I ordered two shrimp/lobster risottos and one shrimp/lobster pasta to go—both of which I’ve had before and absolutely loved—but this time, the dishes were bland and lacked the flavor I’ve come to expect. It was a noticeable drop in quality. I’m not sure what has changed, but I truly hope it was just an off day, because this experience was not up to the usual standard.

Party of 6 celebrating birthdays. Service was good and so were drinks. But food was average at best.. In fact disappointing, esp considering price. I had lobster shrimp pasta. Weak dish. Others ordered tuna, lobster, chicken. All of us were disappointed. Food was consistently unimpressive, low flavor, and high priced.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant with my wife.
As a person with many food allergies, our server, Emma, gave me the best service I have ever received regarding my dietary restrictions. It never felt like a bother to her, and she made sure any dish I had questions on she had ample information about it.
We are so thankful to have visited such an allergy-friendly place with delicious food.
When in the area, we will come again!
