CACTUS MEXICAN RESTAURANT

I found a sharp piece of metal in one of my tacos. I will not be ordering from here again.

I got the choripollo (a standard for me) and my wife got a couple baleadas. We both loved our meals, and the portions where enough that they were 2 meals. My wife also got the tres leche for dessert and that was awesome as well.
There were kids playing in the restaurant, which was fine with us, they were being very cute. Everything seemed clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They even gave my wife a rose for mother's day.
This is a bit out of the way for us, but I'm guessing we'll be back next time we're in Charlottesville.

I came in there Sunday. To get a taco salad first of all it was not prepared correctly when I called back to talk to the manager, that is a poor type of restaurant

Probably the best taco salad. The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The vegetables were fresh. Chips and salsa was also amazing. We Ordered takeout and everything was fresh and hot when we got home.

The food use to be good but now it’s not. The owner and staff is rude. When I complained about my food being cold, The owner told me not to come back and I won’t and would never recommend going here.

I usually never have an issue when going here but today was an entirely different experience today…Mary needs to learn what customer service consists of… I usually order a chorizo burrito with no cheese and I’ve NEVER had an issue.. it comes as order with no cheese, and it’s HOT… I ordered food today before work and not only was my burrito cold but it had cheese in the middle! I called to talk with someone and the girl was unpleasant. I , then when up there to get a new burrito of what I ordered and the food was still cold to the touch. I even got the waitress to feel it and it was cold. She took the food to Mary who told me the cooks were not going to make me another burrito, as if it was my fault. She proceeded to ask if I wanted my money back and I told her no that I wanted what I ordered because I needed food before work. She proceeds to open the register and hand me cash for what I paid for then walked away. I usually love this place but I will NOT be back after today! This makes me sad because prior to today I’ve always spoken highly of them and recommended them to my fellow coworkers!

The gorditos were very good, there are vegan ones that you can order with beans and fried vegetables. The sauce is also very delicious, and the cameroro is very nice. I recommend you.

A very quiet place to relax

The food is outstanding, extremely authentic. No other restaurant I've been to in Charlottesville makes their own tortilla chips. If you're from out west you'll feel at home.

It was OK, but nothing special. Service was poor. Most of the tables were not clean and we were the only guests there. Staff sat at another table socializing. The child (12ish?) that rang us out was delightful, however.
