I've been using this bakery since my kids were little. They are now 30 & 32. They also go here for all specialty cakes & goodies. The Cookies & Creme cake is awesome! Get one for yourself.Parking: It's located in a strip mall shopping area. Usually plenty of room.

Best bakery in the area!! The person doing my wedding cake messed it up so bad that it couldn’t be fixed. I called Sam and she was able to get me a 2 tier filled wedding cake in a hour for the groomsmen to pick up. It tasted amazing and looked amazing on the cake stand!! Thank you so much Sam, you literally saved the wedding!!

I am very, very disappointed. My family has been buying cakes and baked goods throughout the years for several years. Today, after selecting many separate items to share with my sister and to take back to my home state, I asked for another box to separate a few to take on my journey home. The counter person refused and he told me I would have to pay an additional $5. I was very disappointed and I can say I will never return to Chandler’s. Such a poor business practice. You lost clients today, Chandler’s.

Very, very, very disappointed in their service today. My family has been buying their cakes in Charlottesville for every occasion for many years. Today, while visiting Charlottesville I wanted some goodies for my long drive home. We bought many items and wanted to separate them so I could take them on my journey. The counter person refused to give us an additional box to separate the 8 items that we bought unless we paid an additional $5. Poor, poor service. Chandler's Bakery of Charlottesville, you lost a customer today.

Soooo good! Ordered a custom birthday cake on Wednesday and picked it up on Friday. It was the most delicious Black Forrest cake I've ever had! Highly recommended and will definitely go back.

I have a lot of delicious childhood memories here. I loved the sugar cookies, gingerbread girls, and giant smiley face sprinkle cookies back then, and I love the cannolis and strawberry cake now. I hope they stick around for a long time!

Prices are far too high for what they offer. A simple buttercream-frosted layer cake for $50? Go to Albemarle Baking Company for a less expensive, much more flavorful, and aesthetically beautiful dessert.

You're better off making one or ordering from a smaller business. We ordered an 8 inch vanilla and chocolate, three layer cake for our daughter's 1st Birthday with vanilla buttercream and I called the day off to tell them how lopsided and tasteless the cake was. I sent them pictures and everything. No one ever contacted me back as I was promised they would and our cake was $50! They were much better some years ago under different management. Not to mention when we placed our order we noticed there was a baby in a playpen in the kitchen throwing things and screaming. I understand that things are hard but children that young should not be in a kitchen while the business is open and serving customers.
