The interior of this place looks like it has barely changed since it opened in the 1980s. The atmosphere is fantastic, the ice cream is great, the location is perfect, and the service is always good.

I found the ice cream quite enjoyable, if not for the large pieces of ice in it. The cherry vanilla and black raspberry flavours were particularly delicious and creamy.

During our visit, it was not busy. The staff seemed to be idle behind the counter and could have been more proactive. The establishment was dirty; the table and seating were full of used napkins and waffle cone debris, and there were no napkins at the tables, which was a bit disappointing.

It's like stepping back in time the moment you walk through the door... 50s/60s vibes, excellent ice-cream and milkshakes. Booths and barstools available for seating. Great place to cool off and have a cool treat

Delicious ice cream right on the Downtown Mall. Their vegan selection was yummy, and my spouse liked their dairy ice cream, too. It was the perfect treat on a hot day. Definitely recommend!

I have been here several times with friends and had no complaints until today. I brought kids with me today and asked for two single scoop kids cups. The lady said "oh I give big scoops" and proceeded to indeed give big scoops. That would have been fine but then she charged me for adult single scoop cups ($2 more each cup). When I questioned the charges and mentioned that I asked for two single scoop kids cups, her reply was "well, they are already eating it." I do not like to argue so just paid the bill but do not appreciate that she didn't honor what I had asked for. I probably won't be back as there are other ice cream places nearby.

This ice cream shop has homemade ice cream. The chocolate flavoring of the ice cream could be more intense. The ice cream is more on the gooey side rather than creamy

Come support this cville staple!!This remains one of best places in Charlottesville.Quality service. And the espresso is excellent.I only wish they were open more days of the week still.
