Really great accoutrements and sandwich buns makes their sandwiches delish. My husband had their smashburger and french fries gated them a 4, but he's a hamburger expert and doesn't rate very many a 5. French fries were great. I really enjoyed the crab sandwich.

Wheelchair accessibility: Not an ideal location for a wheelchair, but possible.

We absolutely love Chickadee. It’s hard to choose what to order because their menu is small, but very mighty! We’ve been pleased with everything we’ve ordered, from coffee/cold brew to entrees to alcoholic drinks. It’s quickly become our favorite brunch spot, and we are folks who eat a lot of brunch!

The food was great, especially the smash burger! Great patio for children, our daughter loved seeing the freight train pass by. Very friendly wait staff.

I got the smash burger and fries. Parking to get here would usually be a problem but because I came rather early in the day parking was ok. First impressions- geez this place is tiny. A very quaint atmosphere. Staff was helpful when I was trying to order and patient.

Now for the food.
I got the smash burger with the sauce on the side. It’s a solid burger. Nothing extraordinary about it. It had no highs nor lows, just a good burger. Now it’s a red bit pricey at appx. $19 to me it’s a bit expensive but again it was good. They definitely had other items on the menu I would try so a return visit will definitely be happening.

Ate here with a friend for brunch. It is small and often crowded, so we grabbed a seat at the bar. I got the streak fries sandwich which was incredible. Would recommend

Parking: There is not much street parking around here, but there is a garage incredibly close. The first hour is also free in that garage. Additionally there is a paid lot very close as well, no free hour

Kid-friendliness: Restaurant is kid friendly. But be aware of how small the inside is

This little place is a gem. The people are very friendly and the food is delicious. The sub rolls are fantastic and the fries are really good. I'm vegetarian so I haven't tried the whole menu but the options for me are all quite tasty.

Vegetarian options: The vegetarian "steak" frites is delicious!

Food was good. I don’t like sitting that close to other patrons.

My family stumbled upon the place looking for something to eat due to our original plans not panning out and man were we all so happy for it. This spot is an absolute gem. The tater grits were smacking. My sister who doesn't even like grits loved them. The sandwiches were amazing. Everyone loved their meals and we were already trying to figure out if we could come again during this trip.

The best part of the experience was the service. Couldn't of been a kinder group of people. Wish I could come here more truly

Kid-friendliness: my two kids loved the fact that they had a kids menu! i was so worried going in, hence having picky eaters, but it was amazing!

Grit tots are great, sandwiches were very nice. Coffee was not good. However, the reason for the mediocre review is the mandatory 18% service charge. Which is tacked on BEFORE taxes, unlike a tip. So the restaurant is double-dipping. It's really frustrating to see this awful trend come to a Cville restaurant. Just. Raise. Menu. Prices. Maybe they pay their staff well, maybe servers get the whole 18%. Who knows. But the restaurant doesn't have to pay taxes on the service charge, even though the customers are paying that cost.

Service was...ok. And it's pretty limited in terms of space inside. Really would like to have a place like this in Cville, but it just leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Good service, really greasy sandwich. Good bread. Interesting selection. Expensive for what you get. Gratuity added in for any number party at 18% kind of defeats the purpose of a tip.

Our waitress was wonderful, the food was inspired. The seating is a little cramped in my opinion, but it is very bright and upbeat.

Wow! First time at Chickadee and it was amazing. It was hard to choose what to eat as everything on tbe menu looked yummy Jesse was friendly and welcoming. We were served quickly and didn’t wait long for our food. As everybody raved about the Grits Tots online we shared one.portion which was very generous. Then my husband and I ordered the Crispy Pig. Unbelievably delicious, Thank you Jesse and the Chef we are coming back for more. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 for all at Chickadee 👍🏻👍🏻
