Fantastic food and fair price for C-ville. Short walking distance from the Mall area, accessible parking, and quick service. If you go, get the grit tots or the thick-fila!!Parking: Very close to a parking lot that is adjacent to the mall area downtown. There was also a parking garage. I assume the street parking was free with limited times.

Delicious food, fantastic service and I appreciate the attention to detail about my food allergy. The grits tots are a game changer - my husband doesn’t usually eat grits - but these cubes of scrumptiousness won him over.

Best brunch spot in Charlottesville, in my humble opinion. Their sandwiches for lunch are also fresh and amazing. At any time though, you have to try the grit tots if you haven’t already.

Visiting some friends in town and this was their go to spot. It did not disappoint. The tots were a great started and I decided to go with the French toast brunch option for both sweet and savory. Left full and

Perfect brunch spot. The food is fantastic (you have to get the grit tots), the atmosphere is chic and cozy, and the staff are fantastic. All of their drinks can be made booze free, which I found to be really thoughtful (the 0% proof margarita was great). Overall I highly recommend.

Brunch especially for those who like sandwiches. They are excellent. Service is great. Very pleasant external environment. The pork belly sandwiches are exceptional, but be aware that they are a little heavy.

Sweet space serving savory food at reasonable prices. I had the Dave’s Pork sandwich and loved it. Homemade bread and melt in your mouth pork. Wife loved her turkey sandwich and we both enjoyed the fries. Servers are cheerful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the food they make and serve. Nice open space inside, large outdoor dining. Parking was easy. We’ll be back!

This hard to park place is definitely a place to explore! The food is chicken and so much more ! It certainly has that vibe , with cool hip music and waitresses full of personality! Dinning area is very quaint! It seems more like a takeout spot! Situated next to a railway track, this place reads of college town place ! It's certainly laundered with the normal arrogance of Cville! Lol! But the food is certainly pedestrian with a foodie twist ! My wife had a chef's salad which she was very happy! I had the family reunion which is on the brunch menu! The chicken on my order is pre cooked! But I think is breaded and cooked to order! My chicken was tough on the outside but moist inside. Chicken thigh is what they used ! The bacon was old school smoked and biscuits was square but tough. The plate paired well together but fell apart when attempting to eat it! Flavor was great ! Waitress was very delightful! Good experience but certainly a Monday quality!I thought about this place more and realized how way over priced this place was! We left hungry after lunch ! It's more of a hispster vibe.

Don’t skip the grit tots. Or anything else—it’s all good!

Delicious "next level" sandwiches. Generous portions - easily two meals for me! YUM!

My girlfriend and I visited Chickadee a few weeks back. We were blown away by the service, quality of the food and atmosphere. The bread for the breakfast sandwiches were to die for and the jam was out of this world! Thank you for the great experience.

Our new favorite place in C’Ville. Hands down best service we have had in Charlottesville. They have amazing food, great drinks, and everything on the menu is homemade. Best of all, they pay ALL of their employees with a handsome hourly wage and even give them all PTO. That’s alone makes me want to come back and support their business model, but they have phenomenal food in a cool space to top it all off. They were also really accommodating of our kids. Cannot recommend highly enough.Kid-friendliness: We have very young toddlers who can be difficult in a restaurant setting, but the staff made us feel very welcomed. They also have high chairs, crayons, and a great kids menu.

Love this place! Went today with my daughter and the my were very gracious about us being the most annoying and switching tables from inside to outside and when my daughter dropped her kids meal, they replaced it quickly with no problems. Fantastic experience and service and the food is amazing! Highly recommend!

After passing by the patio for a year, I finally got to try this cute little place! The lunch menu is small, consisting of a variety of sandwiches and a few salads. I do wish there were more side options besides fries and salad (perhaps a seasonal vegetable?) I went with the Dave's roast pork sandwich and thought it was delicious. My friend got the burrata caprese and was not impressed with the cheese-to-tomato ratio. The spongy hoagie rolls were honestly not our favorite; the bread was better when I toasted it the next day. Overall, it was a pleasant experience but we probably won't be heading back unless there are some exciting changes made to the menu.
