While my visit in Virginia, my cousin took me out for dinner to this restaurant. It was wonderful to see this beautiful family owned restaurant where the owners kids were helping their dad serve customers. The restaurant had a traditional Afghani style floor sitting area where I enjoyed my meal. Each dish was freshly prepared and tasted amazing as well.

Very nice service. Gave great feedback in the menu and even hooked it up a some watermelon to clean the pallet. I loved the lamb. Next time I went to try the palaw. Everything was made fresh and hot!

Food takes awhile to be cooked fair warning, I think this likely because they cook it to order (it tastes like it). Absolutely outstanding food. The lamb and chicken is seasoned perfectly. The bread is the best I’ve had. Just all around a fantastic place - especially at the price point.

A Taste of Home at Chopan Kabob Express!

Right now, I’m sitting cross-legged just like we do back home in Afghanistan, enjoying perfectly grilled Chopan Kabob that tastes exactly like it does there — tender, flavorful, and cooked the traditional way. The service is warm and respectful, and to make it even better, Afghan songs are playing on the TV, adding to the atmosphere. It’s the first time in a long while I’ve felt like I was truly back in an Afghan restaurant. If you're looking for authentic taste, hospitality, and a true cultural experience, this is the place. Highly recommend!
