HUGE Cookout fan here! My gf and I LOVE this place. I'm originally from Long Island and hadn't had Cookout until I came to Cville. But once I did I was instantly hooked. Typically my gf and I order to go. We always get 2 Burgers Cheddar Style, 2 hot dogs with chili cheese and very crispy bacon mmmmmm. And my absolute favorite item on the Cookout menu that NOBODY else has or can duplicate and that is the White Cheddar Bites! Oh my goodness! 😃😃😃Might be the BEST thing I ever ate! Deep fried awesomeness. Especially when you first get them when they are hot and fresh. Wow! I always get 3 orders of those for us to share. They have a very wide selection on their menu with many combo options. Over 40 milkshake flavors! Great atmosphere once you enter Cookout. Nice country music playing in the background setting up a vacation like ambience. Always super clean. Friendly upbeat staff. I can't wait to return to yummy Cookout! 😎😎😎😎😎

This is absolutely disgusting!
My mom ordered this milkshake, and I’m not racist but there was nothing but black woman in there who would be rude to us when we just wanted a bite to eat and something good to drink… the woman who was at the register was rude to us but treated the same colored women who was next in line like a good person and us like we were bad… they gave my mom a milkshake and she has health issues as it is, and they gave her a rotten milk coke shake… these people were not nice at all, and I don’t care what your color skin is…. But it doesn’t take anything to just be nice…
It's a staple for college students. Honestly a pretty good deal. Milkshakes are good, nice that you can mix so many flavors. They've never messed up an order in my 10+ times of going.

Bathroom wet and dirty. Son slipped and fell and hurt his back and shins from his legs hitting the stall door on the way down. Reported conditions to staff and they just blankly stared at me and said with no expression “OK” and asked what we wanted to order. We ordered chocolate shakes to go and they were not close to being chocolaty. Won’t go back.
Classic cookout, late hours, combos of whatever, no better late night spot for a college town. A little light on sauce at times but not usually. The Carolina stanced truck squad also seem to be regulars and are fun to look at when you're waiting in the drivethrough.
