Possibly the best brewery in Charlottesville. The beer is excellent and well crafted. They know what they are doing. This is worth checking out.

Their BBS is a thing of beauty. Their kolsch; no one makes a kolsch so clean. That’s why it’s a 2022 Va craft beer cup gold.
I also love their Broken Logic IPA. It’s a consistent delicious IPA.
I’m an IPA fan boy. Their beers make me not care about it IPA’s.

Delicious beers, good, welcoming atmosphere and really great people. Good outdoor seating options with fire pits. Dog friendly and they have good food pop ups pretty often. Worth the drive to get here.
Surprisingly quiet while we were there on Saturday afternoon. We both opted to do a Sampler and I really enjoyed the 80 shilling and the Gone to Ground. The smoked helles was too smokey for me and the Russian Imperial was too heavy on the bourbon, I am a bourbon drinker but this was too much for my beer preference.

Popped in with my two dogs while visiting town and am so glad I did! You bring in your food (like I’m used to in NJ) and they allow dogs inside and outside. The outside looked lovely, including a firepit, it was just too cool to sit outside. The beertenders were very friendly and there’s ample seating. Every beer was delicious and the flight included 5 tasters (I’m used to 4!). Would come back in a heartbeat!

Large indoor and outdoor seating areas. Local brewer with more than a dozen beers on tap. After selecting a beer flight, bartender provided suggestions for the order to sample your beer based on the flavor profiles. Bartender was engaging about the beers and the flags on display. Food is not available but outside food permitted. Lots of parking.

This place always puts me at ease, I love that they have created a space that celebrates and honors the sacrifices of service members while also growing into a greater community hub for all backgrounds. I’ve always felt welcome and safe here. The beer is top notch, and they have the best selection of food trucks on a rotating basis. Being dog friendly means I always get to meet lots of cool pups! Can’t count how many great nights spent with friends playing cornhole and enjoying takeout around seasonal fire pits. Decipher is proof that the beer scene in cville is thriving, despite recent years of changes around town. Folks like them are defining a phase in local craft brewing where heart and kindness count more than convenience/profit or gimmicky fads. These guys just get it.
