In addition to their wonderful food, El Puerto has excellent staff and customer service. When there was an issue with my food delivery, their team wasted no time in helping me get my food and treated me with such respect throughout the entire process. I recommend El Puerto to everyone in Charlottesville!

Nice friendly servers. Convenient location with good parking. Unfortunately, the dishes needed additional attention. The starter of Chips were cooked in oil that either was not filtered well or had gone slightly rancid.

Friendly. Dishes, unfortunately, did not match friendly staff. We always prefer visiting independent restaurants. Chips had slightly rancid flavor, due to old or not properly filtered oil. Dip for chips was not enjoyable. Ingredients could have been better for the dishes ordered. A sad occurrence was being charged 16.3% tax. I questioned it. After departing, checked Charlottesville, VA government website and it states that restaurant combined tax charge is 12.3%.

We were passing through Charlottesville traveling and were starving. We found your place on Google and decided to give it a try. Amazing food and excellent service. Loved the chips and salsa. We love this restaurant! They use the best ingredients and the food is always fresh. Our son gave a birthday party at El Puerto for his Special Olympics friends. The staff set aside a special table for the party and made sure everyone was happy with their dinners. The service is fantastic - quick and friendly.
