Feast Café & Market

This is a small store similar to Trader Joe's (but smaller, and there is a counter where you can order things off a menu. The menu has things clearly marked vegan. Just outside the store is an eating area shared by multiple businesses (I think). There is a small amount of seating outside. I got the Tofu Banh Mi which was awesome. I didn't know something could have so much cilantro and still taste good.

I ate at Feast for the first time yesterday and really enjoyed lunch. There are several vegan and vegetarian options including the arugula and spinach salad to which I added tofu. All of the cafe’s packaging is compostable for which they have a separate bin by the exit. The market has a wide selection of cheeses, wines as well as some different salads, chips and other beverages. I had enjoyed their food at several catered events but had somehow never made it into the restaurant. I’ll definitely be back!!

Waited 30 minutes for a sandwich

Food is great! Awesome lunch spot in the city. Outdoor is seating is nice. The staff is so friendly and nice! They make the food quickly and are so helpful! The staff makes the vibe of this place so great! If they had more stars to give I would!

So cute and the staff is really nice. In the cafe I tried the phorench dip (DIVINE), rosemary ham and goat cheese panini, and the turkey brie and cranberry paining. All really good, but when I tend to re-order the first two the most! Small NOTE: if you're ordering soup for takeout (or the phorench dip) be careful holding your soup container upright. It's sustainable packaging so that's good but I've noticed when I just keep it in the bag, it usually spills and ends up ripping the bag. So I usually just take it out and hold it separately.

Great store! Every staff member I interacted with was very helpful. Their customer service level was the way Whole Foods should be or used to be. It’s not a full grocery store, but I saw a good selection of wine, cheeses, jams, etc. I love that many of the products were from local suppliers, and you wouldn’t find them in chain stores. I look forward to going back for more!

Got the most popular sandwiches on the menu as recommended. Food is underwhelming. It is similar to that of standard panini type hot sandwich at a coffee shop. Would recommend other sandwiches in town before spending money here.

First discovered this place back in 2012 when my daughter was a freshman at UVa. It remains one of the best markets/cafes in the city. I stock up on all kinds of goodies to take home and you can also shop online and all sorts of good stuff comes right to your door! The tomato soup with coconut and kale is my favorite. And the ginger molasses cookie is a must!

WOW I had no idea this place had vegan food but it is awesome!! The tofu banh mi was to die for- creamy slaw and yummy tofu the flavors were perfect. The market itself has tons of other vegan things available for purchase that you can’t order online including entree salads, sides and hummus to name the few I saw quickly. Everything is clearly marked vegan. Hours are limited but I can’t wait to come back and try the other vegan sandwich! #Veganuary Update: I went back for more! Chickpea curry sandwich was also yummy (but I like the Banh mi better) AND they had a vegan creamy tomato soup as a side that was DELICIOUS!! I love coming here! There is so much variety with lots of healthy items! The sandwiches are fantastic & staff generally pleasant.
