So I have been to other First Watch restaurants however this one was one of the better ones I’ve been to; it seemed even more well run. The restaurant was very clean and had well organized setups for each table. The food came out pretty quickly, was made to order and was very tasty as well. The server was attentive and checked on me several times during my stay. Just very good food, served well with a smile … who could ask for more.

All silverware and glasses were filthy. We had the tacos, so thankfully we didn't need the silverware. When we asked the server for a clean glass, she didn't say anything, just took the glass and came back and slammed it on the table. This glass was also disgusting, and had smears around the inside as if the first glass was half-heartedly wiped out with a dirty rag and then returned to us. All without any kind of apology. We decided not to drink the water anyway because the container it was served in was similarly smudged with unidentifiable nastiness. Once our food was delivered, we were not spoken to again for any reason. I finally had to flag down the waitress to ask for our bill. The restaurant was not in any way busy. Throughout our meal we observed multiple staff members eating with their hands at the bar, sucking the bacon grease off their fingers, and then going to seat a party or talk to another table. Absolutely disgusting. The food was bland. The coffee was lukewarm. The service sucked. We will not be returning and I strongly urge anyone brave enough to try it to examine their utensils and glassware thoroughly.

A must visit every time I’m in Charlottesville. Excellent food, friendly service. The space is slightly noisy because the sound bounces. Sound baffling would help with this. However, that does not keep me from stopping in for a great meal.
Great selection. Best fresh squeezed Orange Juice available. Glass was large and full. Very good selection of food options. Staff was amazing and welcoming. Prices were reasonable for high quality of the food.
